Not sure how reversing the fixture or moving to Albania helps the Welsh fans….

Hmm I read Phil’s tweet as they had rejected the Niksic option? Maybe me reading it half asleep.
Moving the game to Niksic I guess is the least bad option?
Moving to Albania or swapping with Cardiff is a terrible idea.

Just award Wales a 3-0 win would be the best option!

I'm certain they will repair the parts of the pitch that are damaged in podgorica 🙏

The communication from all parties has been pretty appalling to be fair. The FAW need to grow a back bone in situations like this, it would never happen to Spain, Germany, England or France as they would have said weeks ago when they saw the state of the pitch that the game needs to be moved ASAP.
Having seen the state of the stadium in Niksic I do not believe it is ready to host a full capacity game at all at such short notice with all the required security etc. I can see this being behind closed doors sadly.

The last bus back to Podgorica is at 20:45, the last train is 20:00 ?
Hotel booked, with free cancellation deal in Niksic, pending a common sense review, when sober. Doesn’t look like there are many hotels there. The Montenegrin language report on the Analitika site includes the following statement regarding the Niksic stadium, which doesn’t appear in the english version linked above. In the western stand, about 700 seats will have to be left for Wales fans, and its total capacity is about 3,000. I'd be shocked if the Wales FA did not insist on a free shuttle both ways on match-day. The mention of the the buses was there for those wanting to arrive early, or coming from Croatia / Albania / Bosnia. Within Montenegro, even the DIRECT buses from Budva, Tivat and Kotor - seem to take over 3h and most actually are routed via POD.

I agree this is the likeliest option at this stage. Even booking all the necessary transport at this stage feels like a non starter.

Will the FSA need to do a site visit or was it done the other week and that's why they came up with the reduced stand number of 620 tickets plus the few the faw jolly boys outing gets me thinking it's funny that all of a sudden this stand magically holds 700. Faw knew this was coming.

Thanks for the heads up. I think that you got the link wrong and you meant this brand new link from an ahour ago: Definitely: Montenegro will welcome Wales in Nikšić "What we reported on Sunday is now official - the match of the second round of the League of Nations between Montenegro and Wales will be played in Nikšić [...] The western tribune has about 3,200 seats, and the eastern one about 2,000."

It is definitely Niksic, the president of the city has tweeted about it. Its a complete shitshow and the FAW knew this may happen and should have pushed for more clarity months ago. Shocking lack of communication today also.

A total mess. The whole thing is ridiculous, how late ticket sales were left, for a stadium, which can't actually host it.
I couldn't get a ticket, but questioning writing off the money spent on flights and cancelling the accomodation. Just as I imagine fans will be spread across various locations, so can't see it being a good trip (without tickets).

It's going to be a mare getting from budva to niksic on the monday but really looking forward to 2 nights in budva though.

Are people staying in their original accommodation location or thinking of moving to Niksic? We were staying in Podgorica despite no tickets, but thinking where will the fans be now especially only 700 will have tickets?

We are staying in budva for the sat and sun and travelling to niksic for the monday night instead of staying in podgorica.

Think I'll be staying in budva on the day of the game now, haven't got a ticket and just can't be arsed now, day on the beach, a nice meal and a good swig for me.

Hold fire. Lets see what the change in venue means for our allocation I'd be pretty happy allowing the locals to take up the entire renovated Western stand with 3200 and we can take the Eastern Stand with 2000 seats?

I leave Podgorica to Tirana early the morning after the game, so staying in Niksic isn't really doable for me (or certainly not easily). So with fans being spread I'm just unsure it'll be worth it.

Looks like there's a power cut at the faw or they need to give wonky sheep time to sort out there trip before giving us news. They be looking for a few hundred rooms in that small town so be quick guys.

Booked a hotel with free cancellation just in case. Surely it would be easier for Wonky/FAW just to lay on buses from Podgorica than switch hotel? They'd have to organise transport form the airport anyway. The Montenegrin FA can pay of course

The Budva buses should be OK as Leigh has sent out emails regarding this.
