In keeping with Wales under Bellamy you can now feel the momentum dissipating out of that bright start. It’s settled down and Montenegro despite having little possession are not really being stretched the last 10 minutes and we’re being challenged to break them down which I don’t think has ever been the forté of a Wales team in my time on the planet. The commentator has just called it out and said that he didn’t think Montenegro would be worried about this form of possession.
Edit: I’ll take the credit for speaking too soon 😂 But of a soft pen but we’ve had plenty not given over the years so who cares!

Why wont our boys just shoot!! Because long range shots are usually an easy save, and they know it. 9/10 the best you can hope for is a resulting corner. Having said that, our penalty came from a corner from a long range Brooks effort, so there we go! |

Perhaps unfair given that he's faced Montenegro twice and Ward has played the tougher games, but Darlow just seems a cut above. His first touch is always played with intent and sets him up for the pass, and he seems a few yards further up the field than Ward when receiving passes, which gets us playing quicker and invites less pressure.
Having said that, of course, he's also being given much more time on the ball than Ward.

really good first half again totally in control the press has been superb and the movement, great to see all our players comfortable on the ball playing good football only minor criticism is we had a few chances to take a shot but delayed or took extra touches now we need not to fall off the pace in 2nd half, I dont think we will today fingers crossed a goal or 2 extra to come Wilson has been class what a gem of a player he has become for us   |

Didn't Dean Saunders drop down a level and ironically made a name for himself with Harris's club Oxford United? If that’s the case then I bow to your knowledge and that’s a very good example you’ve come up with! Although given how football has changed since then hopefully someone has a more recent example to help change my mind…. I mean isn't Harry Wilson a great example of a player who dropped down a level to get experience before becoming top-class which he is now? |

Ok we're in front but it's very disjointed . I think we're playing pretty well. Plenty of passing avenues available, the players seem to be on the same wavelength. They're gauging how patient to be very well against a deep sitting side - plenty of chances have been created. Teams like Montenegro are rarely thrashed. The big thing now is if things change, do we adapt quickly enough? |

Well, we are a depleted squad tonight, and I don't really believe that "international quality" exists. I mean, both would possibly get into the Montenegro side, and they're as much of an international side as us. |
