Second half looks like Bellamy is slowing it down. Good to see. A 0-0 is bad in the short term but we saw how the result against Belgium spring boarded the Euro 2016 push.

We’re still pressing and lucky to get away without conceding a corner there. Feel like we should be following a bend but don’t break philosophy . Just contain them which we have been doing some what successfully so far but don’t leave balls over the top or down the channel when we play man to man marking which they’ve taken advantage of.

I shall just add Turkey had 59% possession that half. So for Bellamy and his intentions that’s a Page-esque return however you slice it The massive difference is that you’re comparing Bellamy, 4.5 games in and trying to establish a system, with Page ar the end of his tenure with no system in sight. In the big picture, nothing about this situation is “Page-esque”, other than Page was also a manager, and all managers have tough games.

Personally I think this second half has been extremely comfortable. I’m usually always on edge watching us play, but haven’t felt like that at all

The Turks are constantly on the floor and it's ruining the flow, they're fading, gaps are appearing

Strange subs that. JJ has had a good game imo.
Is it enough having just Sheehan, the only true CM/DM, on the pitch?

In the big picture, nothing about this situation is “Page-esque”, other than Page was also a manager, and all managers have tough games. Page’s natural state was to dig in and in this second half, credit to Bellamy, he is also digging in. We are more compact and playing for a point and a mistake by the opposition. So say what you like but Bellamy has learned by force what Page learned a long time ago: that pragmatism has a time and a place for a team with players of the calibre of Wales

And there’s my point, Wales player tries to play an ambitious cross field pass, Turkey player picks it up and bats it back followed by a casual chip over the defender’s head and a ball in the box. We need to get sharp and stop playing like we’re on fifa 25

Now you’re just coming out with the lazy tropes showing zero understanding of the way we’re playing Likewise. Enjoy your emperor’s new clothes, they fit you a treat What a child-like ‘I’m not XYZ, you are’ comment. You said that I, and presumably Bellamy, would be happy seeing us passing around the back all game, showing absolutely zero understanding of what we’re doing, and displaying the type of ignorance most pub bores have about ‘modern football’. Tell me how the ‘likewise’ comment applies?

That's a joke of a decision. All game the ref has been allowing heavy challenges, nudges and the like.
But it's been missed.
Heads now lads, heads.

Well deserved point. Terrific defensive display. Lack of quality up front and midfield, but overall a heartening display.

I shall just add Turkey had 59% possession that half. So for Bellamy and his intentions that’s a Page-esque return however you slice it Last time we played Turkey away they had 77% of the ball and won 2-0. Whatever way you slice it tonight wasn't a Page performance. Still undefeated under Bellamy...

Big performance that.
I still think Bellamy and squad are in pre-season of sorts. The questions he wants from tonight being:
- When you're under significant pressure can you still play your way? - Can you balance your way and pragmatism? - If it all goes to hell, can you be resilient enough to come through? - Can you get through period of pressure, then get back into the game and create your own attacking pressure?
Those are the questions for reflection on this performance tomorrow onwards.

0-0, fair result imo. I feel like Bellamy learnt partially what I was concerned about and adapted. The ref gave bullshit decisions as expected. But we get away with a 0-0 which isn’t enough to top the group but keeps a bit of positivity and momentum going. I do feel like if Turkey were behind in the group they had 2 or 3 more gears they could go through to get the win though.
