Feels a bit reactionary tbh. My hope is that this means our younger players get more of a shake of it. Colwill should be a guaranteed starter IMO

Saw this coming weeks ago, I think Colwill will get on the pitch a lot more now.

I don't quite understand why so many Cardiff fans are outraged by this? Morrison has been in the job for almost a year, and Cardiff have become worse imo. Also heard a few rumours he'd lost the dressing room, but take that with a pinch.

Wouldn't be surprised if he has lost the dressing room - seems a bit of an ego, always tinkering and seldom takes blame.

I’ll bet, after signing 17 players and seeing it look like it’s going tits up, Tan decides he wants to promote the youth players more going forward and the new manager will have to buy into that

How have they become worse when they were in the relegation zone and on a 6 or 7 game losing streak when he took over from Mick McCarthy. I think he's made a lot of mistakes - particularly the volume of players brought in and, linked to that, too much tinkering. But around three-quarters of the squad are players he's brought in over the last couple of months, so seems very silly to get rid of him now. There was always going to be some inconsistency with the scale of change over the summer. Think this is a bad move.

He's also not a good enough manager for championship level at the moment, and Cardiff need better. And I've heard some pretty strong rumours today that he didn't get on with a few players - Colwill being one. Obviously, just rumours.

Don't really give a toss either way about Cardiff City's fortunes, but I do care about their Welsh contingent, so good news imo.

Ultimately I think he's a victim of signing too many players. It placed unnecessary pressure on him, when he didn't need to do that. 10 max were needed, and he should have brought Colwill & King into the XI
Signing a bunch of players to replace them and not getting good results was a big mistake IMO

This is equivalent of someone going from being a Cymru South manager to managing on the parks pitches! Bizarre no teams from even the National League wanted to take a chance

I'm guessing this is for lifestyle reasons as much as football.

Biggest question mark over his name was how he interacts with players/the media. Sitting on the sidelines wasn't changing his reputation so he's back in the game, admittedly at a lower level than he expected, to try and find answers and improve as a manager. Have to respect him for that.
His playing career saw him go from Conference South to the Premier League.
