Neil Taylor stretched off after a heavy challenge, in a neck brace and receiving oxygen. Sounds bad. Gutted for him. Hope it's not too bad.

9 mins injury time at Swansea, which gives you an idea of how long he was receiving treatment for.

I was watching on a stream. It looked like he clashed heads with Odemwingie, I don't think it was malicious although I've seen people say it was an elbow. It looked like hitting the ground did the real damage though.
The commentators said that word from the dressing room was a concushion and a gash on his head.

The only negative during a fantastic afternoon was a head injury sustained by left-back Neil Taylor after a clash with Baggies striker Peter Odemwingie. Taylor was stretchered off with concussion and had stitches in his head, but later met up with his team-mates in the changing room following treatment. Delighted it was not as bad as it looked, he was tremendous again today, need him to be playing against Switzerland, Bulgaria in three weeks.

Ash Williams on twitter last night said he was ok. He's concussed but is up and about. Good news, looked a nasty collision.

He will improve a hell of a lot during this season, injury permitting.

There's young players you see at Wrexham with talent- like Curtis Obeng for instance- who you're never quite sure have the right attitude to fully live up to their potential. I never had any such doubts with Neil Taylor. He will go on to be the best footballer that he possibly can be, very much like his old mentor Joey Jones in that respect.

Interesting...I'd always assumed he had a black parent/grandparent. I can't think of any other part-Asian players to play for one of the UK national sides.

Ok only Welsh 21s players but Rhys Williams has an Indian mother. And Tom Ramasut's mum is from Thailand.

Genuinely don't know here, but does anyone know what Coleman's background is, racially speaking?

With how's he played the second half of the season when the Swans got Promoted, last season in the Premier League, for Wales last autumn and course how he's played for GBullshit in this Olympics, the big four or in this case three of the four were always going to be monitoring his situation!

I gather, for I haven't been watching, that he's been very accomplished at right back.
We have a lot of full back competition now: Gunter, Taylor, Ricketts, Matthews, Eardley. A far cry from Sparky having to pick the likes of Speed, Barnard and Weston

So Neil Taylor plays well vs the likes of Montenegro, Bulgaria and Switzerland to help Wales win and no-one really notices...
He plays well vs Senegal, the United Arab Emirates and Uruaguay's under 23 teams and is being lined up for a move to Man Utd or Chelsea???
Weird...

His best performance for me was against Italy for the 21s at the Liberty. He was at Wrexham playing non league football and was brilliant that night. Alot of praise goes to Flynn for picking him in the 21s while he was virtually unknown.

This must be what it's like being a young, overhyped English player!

And this is why their agents encouraged them to play.

To be fair, comparing the standard for a moment, the UAE and Uruguay sides have been better than that shite Bulgaria side! Montenegro also werent much cop when we beat them at home, but they have put in decent performances at other times in our group. Bulgaria were bollocks from start to finish

No direction, little quality. They were a mess. That Swiss game for me was the stand out performance because they turned up in cardiff and we had to go toe to toe with them and best them. Montenegro I might be being a bit harsh on, but I can't get over how they were shooting from the half way line all the time when they had options. If that was wales doing that we would all be fucking fuming!

That Swiss game for me was the stand out performance because they turned up in cardiff -------------- Swansea actually. And Taylor was directly up against Shaqiri, one of the most (over?)hyped young players in Euorpe, someone who has just made a multi-million pound move to Bayern Munich...
...you lose this round RD. Try again?

Try again? I'm actually agreeing with you on that score! The Swiss were up for it and good quality opposition on the night. We played well in all 3 games. Its just that I don't feel we had to be on top of our game to beat montengro or bulgaria
