We need anyone who can score goals! Joe Allen can't seem to, haven't noted Jonathan Willians do so either, while Ramsey, Ledley and even Vaughan can. Great to see that on top of his very promising play in other areas of the pitch, Emyr Huws could score us goals!

we need to get some chants of 'Huws-ie, Huws-ie' going again like we did when Sparky was playing.

I would love it if Huws broke into City's squad as much as the next man.
But for perspective on his chances, here's a list of players City have either bought, or promoted from the youth team like Huws in the last three years alone, that haven't had a look in:
Harry Bunn, Scott Sinclair, Maicon, Richard Wright, Jack Rodwell, Alex Henshall, Adam Drury, Roque Santa Cruz, John Guidetti, Mohammed Abu, Vladimír Weiss, Abdul Razak, David Pizarro, Karim Rekik, Stefan Savic, Alex Nimely, Eirik Johansen, Felipe Caicedo, Andrew Tutte, Jérémy Helan, Abdisalam Ibrahim, Reece Wabara, Ahmad Benali, Jérôme Boateng, Dedryck Boyata, Frédéric Veseli, Ben Mee, Valeri Bojinov, John Guidetti, Jô, Felipe Caicedo, Paul Marshall.

WelshWirral - I was talking about if he was in his prime around the time the arabs bought into the club then they would have built a team around him, Aguero arrived in 2011.
SteelRod - A bit of perspective here. He is not better than Garcia or Rodwell, well definitely not Garcia. Both players are internationals and have many seasons of top flight football under their belts. Garcia has played in the Champions league for five seasons! Huws was on loan in League two last season. It's up to Huws to prove he can play at the top level, he's definitely passed the test and shown he's far too superior for the Championship.

Sometimes you see someone play and you just know they are a cut above. You don't need to wait for further evidence because its so obvious.

"he had a mediocre spell at Northampton?" Five man of the match awards in 12 games? Not bad for a young lad making his debut appearances in a tough league I'd have thought? How do you make that out to be mediocre? Man of the match again last night for Birmingham against Burnley (five MOTM in eight games now), and a superb goal.''
I followed his progress through the Northampton local paper reports and their end of season verdict was that he looked promising at first but later struggled to make an impact in games. Man City academy youth reports never seemed to have a lot to say on him when he was an under-18 player either. Still he looks to be making good progress this season so hope it continues and he can maybe make a mark at a better club.
One kid who does seem to deserve the hype is Harry Wilson who seems to be tearing it up for Liverpool at the moment. Hopefully he will actually have played premiership football when he gets to Huws' age, as that has to be the target for anyone with serious aspirations to be an international class footballer.

Went on a Burnley message board to see what they were saying about Vokes (pretty much to a man they didn't rate him until this season and now they are all eating huge helpings of humble pie) but they had an interesting thread about Huws - saying he looked a cut above his Brum teammates the other day and wondering if City might loan him to them for the season if they go up. Might be a decent move for him?

pretty much confirmed everything that has been said.
However, I don't think he was a candidate for MOM against Iceland

Went off in the 29th minute with an injury, which he appeared to be carrying before the game according to the BBC preview.
Hope it is nothing major!

He was subbed off during the last game with injury. They might have rushed him back.
