Judging by Page and Wilsons’ interviews, they seem to think Mooney’s article is true…….

Brilliant team selection from Page, it worked a treat, brilliant substitution, everything just fell into place and we manage to hang on. I'm really pleased for him, he deserves a lot of credit for tonight.

It was a really good performance tonight and much needed result.
We've looked better since Jack Lester came in - no criticism of Eric Ramsey as correlation doesn't mean causation - and with the (early days) emergence of Jordan James. Funny how Giggs went from below average to above average with emergence of Kieffer Moore and hopefully it's case of history repeating itself.
Whatever the truth behind stories of past week, it seems we needed to come together as a camp to fight for each other and we got our just rewards when we did.
Not out of the woods yet but a really good night for Welsh football. Together stronger.

The team more or less picked itself, the only selection choice was choosing 2 out of Brooks, Wilson and James to start, and they would have all made an appearance at some point.

To which most would have picked James and Wilson. Page deserves the credit. Also Mepham instead of Lockyer, most would have picked Locks.

Brooks is clearly the better player out of the 3, but he has yet to play a full match since his return. I'm guessing he started the game to try and get us ahead, instead of chasing the game later on, and it's exactly what I would have done. Mepham was an easy choice because you wouldn't want to introduce a new player against a team like Croatia. Mepham, Rodon & Davies know each others game well.

Brooks was never going to play the full 90, so it was a case of choosing which part of the game you wanted him to play. Without Johnson starting him was the best option.

The leaders on the pitch got him out of this one. If you hammer him when we're shit (I do) then you praise him when we're good (which we were). Claiming we won despite Page is disingenuous at best.

What pleased me about the formation tonight was the balance Wilson's left foot brought to the team, especially as Neco is so right footed.
Brooks was also very good and it was refreshing to see us as the team with the legs and intensity.

He swapped Brooks for James to start and it worked perfectly with both assisting.
Big well done.

The only negative thing I've said about Page is he is not the right person to lead the rebuild transition.

Ok. Please explain how the leaders on the pitch got us out of this one? The in-game organisation on the pitch. I thought Ben Davies in particular was good at that tonight. But surely Page picks the players, the gameplan and assigns leadership roles? Once they cross the white line he can only do so much and the players take over.

Ok. Please explain how the leaders on the pitch got us out of this one? The in-game organisation on the pitch was very impressive. In days gone by we would have folded. So you'd have picked the same team as Page, but according to you that would not have meant you made the right decisions, and it would have just been a reflection of the leader's performance on the pitch? So why does it matter if you'd have picked the same lineup then surely it's irrelevant? What could Page have to have done to earn praise from you in that case? Play a weird 6 up front formation and see it work? Otherwise the way you're viewing it creates no way of Page actually getting credit because picking a normal looking team is just "the obvious thing to do"

Page said he had a text off Mooney today, first time he’s heard off him In 5 weeks! Get rid of him. A text....!? Any real leader of an organisiation who had been attributed such remarks would have at the very least picked up the phone if not had a face to face in order to explain/apologise directly. A text...!? Shitout...

Even if totally untrue he deserves to hear from him. Check his social media he didn’t put anything about the game last night on Twitter. No congratulations nothing, despite always being on there. Wouldn’t surprise me if he’s on his way out.

But anyway I’m just saying 5 weeks is not a long time. The rumours didn’t start 5 weeks ago. It definitely fired the boys up though. C’MON CYMRU!
