Sky reporting that Roofe is about to move to Anderlecht. Sadly, according to article below, Tyler still injured ;-(
UPDATE Bielse indicating in his pre-match on Friday that: "“Ayling has an operation on his ankle, Tyler is in a process which will finally be an operation"
With Matondo also out, this might speed-up Bale (or Wilson) playing upfront, in September fixtures.

The sooner he's back the better.
I think Giggs wants a Firminho type player in that front role, intelligent/skilful ... which is why we've seen lawrence, wilson, james and roberts play as strikers.
Roberts is the most suitable option we have for this role IMO, I like the runs he makes, and he's good on the ball.
Having him back will be a big boost for Giggs' plans.

He needs someone who can come short and play with their back to goal. Hopefully Roberts can do this, I get the impression that Giggs likes him a lot, and the Leeds fans certainly see him as very important to their team. He's had some criticism re: his performances for us, but I think he's got plenty to give in a Cymru shirt.

I'd like to see him start in Slovakia, if available

I don't think we need another player to come short and pass the ball back to the midfield.
We need a striker willing to run in behind and stretch the opposition defense. Make them think a bit.
Ramsey will do it from 10, but a Bellamy type would be devastating for us.
I like Tyler, but we've got enough ponderous attackers already.

I struggle to decipher what he is. Is he a forward, attacking midfielder, no10, winger, striker?
He doesn't seem to have a designated position, or somewhere he excels in. Maybe an 'utility forward'?

Not ready yet. Not convinced he will become the striker we need but probably our best hope at the moment

Any hope Nathan Broadhead will come good?
He's 21 now and on loan at Burton Biscuits.

Unfortunately, his best spell at a senior level came at 10 with Leeds last season where he was getting good reviews. He's never convinced up top, he's been really poor for us every time he's started a game. I disagree that he's like Hal because he doesn't do the dirty work that Hal used to - in those games he started he offered nothing, not too dissimilar to lawrence against azerbaijan. He's a good prospect, but certainly not ready to lead the line yet and I fear he's never going to be as he's more than likely going to be yet another 10 / wide forward.

I thought he was pretty good out in Dublin tbh! From recollection, I thought he struggled and was pretty anonymous. But I may be wrong!

I remember thinking he was quite good at the time, who knows ha. He's still young though, he'll be a really good player in a few years I think. I agree with the above that number 10 has been his best position so far.

Saw him at least seven or eight times this year and looked very good as a ten. Hopefully, his long absence will not hinder his progress and he'll walk straight back into the Leeds team.
The good news is that he was back on the nench v Barnsley last Sunday and is expected to feature this weekend already ;-))

Tactical according to the BBC report, because West Brom were coming on so strong, and Leeds have a history of conceding late goals. Nothing in it regarding Roberts' performance.

He wasn't great but it was tactical and he looked annoyed.
Pigtails on a bloke. Deserved subbing tbh.

Rare start for Tyler today Pretty sure that he was getting 20-25 minutes in quite regularly recently, so this is just a sign that he is back to full fitness.
