That looked very close. Where is the VAR? Commentary initially said it wasnt being referred to VAR? I thought every goal was checked if offside? Yeah it's confusing. I think VAR is deployed differently by different FAs, and possibly differently again in the women's and men's game. So whereas in the Premier League VAR automatically checks every goal to see if it's offside and then flag to the ref, from the commentary yesterday it sounds like in this competition it is up to the ref to request that VAR look at a potential offside / incorrect offside call. You'd like to think that the commentators would be on top of those details in order to provide those insights, but sadly that wasn't the case - they seemed to be just as clueless as us, which is pretty poor prep and research on their part.

Substitutions haven’t helped tbh. Mcateer isnt ready for this level - by what I’ve seen. Kayleigh Barton looks like she runs through mud. I think, despite who she is, Fishlock should have come off around 75mins. Looks knackered. On Barton, she just played two awful passes within 40 seconds. Good job you were not listened to! She played the through ball which led to the killer goal in extra time. She probably touches the ball the least but how many of her touches are decisive? She deserves to get to a tournament so much! Without her we do not have a team. She is just incredible. To be fair, Fishlock was knackered. What Wilkinson did in extratime was drop her deeper and just have here quarterbacking, which, as you said, let to the goal.

I wonder if that hard 2 legger did us good
Ireland look incredible to win their double header 9-0 but I just checked and saw that Georgia were ranked 118th !
Slovakia were ranked about 48th I believe but were awkward which is probably a good thing for us
Really hard to assess Ireland - they have that one very good players at Ireland but then there is no obvious outstanding player that I am aware of and they look similar to us in terms of the quality of their team and squad make up but seem to have consistently done better than us, with three or so American players in there and lots of English born players too (like us).
What do people think? Are Ireland clearly better? If so then it what positions? What is their weak spot which we can exploit?
Looked back at the team that lost to us in a friendly and as noted - half or more of the regular team were missing, so we cannot take much from that result / performance unfortunately. They do not seem to have the bad luck we have had with injuries do they - we have had 3 ACLs to key players (incl. a recovering Cain) but they do not have a bog player out do they?

Only saw the first half live will catch rest of the game later today
so proud of our ladies nearly there now,it will be a hard couple of games v Ireland but really feel we will get it done and get to a 'finals' at last.
so pleased for Jess what a phenomenal player she has been for Cymru, the phrase legend is handed out too much in the modern game, but she is one there can be no doubt about that its been a pleasure to watch this lady play over the years

Rhiannon Roberts had a really good game Holland is such a strong player[even half fit] we dominated the game and fully deserved the win Morgan could/should have had 2 at the start of the second half, but IMO keep her as the striker that pace is such a weapon and Ireland will go at us so it will be a game/s where we wont dominate possession as we have in the group games, so a quick counter will be essential

Nations League draw for next year was drawn at lunchtime.
Group A4 with Italy, Sweden and Denmark.
England were in A3 so we had a 50/50 chance to be drawn with them as fourth pot was drawn last! Luckily avoided!

Looking at buying tickets for a small group with one not having the ticket app.
What are the options here? Is it that they download the app or there's an extra charge for asking for a paper ticket?
First time I have looked to buy for someone without membership since the ticketing app became a thing. Thank you in advance for any feedback.

surge as long as somebody they are going with has the app, just get an e-ticket and have it on the other person’s phone. Hand the phone back and swipe to the other ticket. It’s not one ticket per phone / app.

Why is Hailey Ladd still at Man Utd?
She has not been picked for the second year and gets at most a few minutes at the end of games.
Its a mad waste of talent

I expect that if we don't qualify these will be the last games we see Jess Fishlock play for Wales.

I imagine there will be quite a good following from Ireland too which should make for a fantastic atmosphere. One thing missing from recent men's games is a good away following.
They seem to have opened up further areas of the ground as well as re-released some tickets in more popular areas. Last football international of the year and, potentially, last chance to see some of our iconic players.
