www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23715305Tweaked hamstring, hopefully nothing too serious. In any case, I think the shirt belongs to Myhill for the remainder of this campaign, regardless of Hennessey's fitness.

Cover for a month at a club with a budget worse than some conference sides- where did it all go so wrong?
I really hope he has an outstanding month, although he has no chance of a move until January at the earliest now. Does Jackett actually rate him? Will he be a starter if he goes back to Wolves after a month?

Cover for a month at a club with a budget worse than some conference sides- where did it all go so wrong? That's an easy one: it went wrong when he got injured in April 2012 and hasn't played a competitive game since. The last game Wayne Hennessey played was a premiership match. He's a very good keeper, the only question mark is fitness. Once he's proved that (if!), he'll be back in the Prem before long.

So what has Boaz done wrong in a Welsh shirt (apart from being part of the Serbia fiasco)? Hennessey is overrated, and nothing more than a decent Premier League keeper (same as Boaz) if on form. Hennessey was born in Wales, but if that makes a difference to people we may as well give up now.
We haven't currently got a Nev Southall, and won't have for a long time. The quicker we get used to that the better.

Wayne has been tracked by a number of Premier clubs and has not made as many errors as Boaz on any level. Recently watched Boaz for West Brom and he was a liability. Wayne for me every time.

I was one of the callers on #callrob earlier and queried with Neville Southall why no bigger club appears to be coming in for Wayne Hennesey. He said that he still believes that Hennesey could become on of the best in the world and that he maybe have been let down by coaching e.g. wrong kind of tempo etc.
He also said that he found it tough to believe that Hennesey would have refused to play for Wolves last night, having once managed him for the u19s.
Personally, not excited about him moving to Palace as the club appear very attached to their current first team keeper. As I said on the call, he is every bit as good (in my view better) as Tim Howard with Everton. I recalled Southall saying at a London Welsh event over a year ago that he had recommended Hennesey to Everton. He repeated this on the call.
Will be interesting to see what the signing of Hennesey would mean for Lewis Price. Maybe a move to Wolves?

Not sure if Hennessey fits the kind of keeper Martinez would be after as a replacement to Howard; his distribution is certainly better than Myhill's (how could it be worse?) but he's no De Gea is he? Interesting point about the coaching being a problem perhaps - he certainly hasn't got any better over the years. Again, as with so many of our players, he should look to move abroad.

Ikeme is out injured for a few weeks and Wayne has refused to play, apparently. Piss poor that, I doubt Wayne is refusing to collect his wages in return for not doing what hes being paid for. If only I could go into work tomorrow and refuse to work yet still collect my pay! Only in football...
Ah well good luck to him in his mission to get off the bench at Wolves and onto the bench at Palace. Its hard to see him getting a look in if Palace is his chosen destination, Speroni seems well established there and Palace have hardly been shipping goals of late so its hard to see him breaking through unless Speroni gets injured.
If first team football is his aim then he and his agent need to get together and use their loaf, mind you I daresay signing for Palace will be a decent pay day, thats all the move has going for it. We need him to be playing first team football as we have no other options (Myhill seems to have had his day) - I hope he uses this transfer window to good effect and doesn't become another Jason Brown.

No it won't. Wayne is only doing what needs to be done to get the deal done. Since this suits the buying club, the agent and, if a good price is agreed, the selling club, then the end will justify the means. It looks very unedifying from the fans' perspective. I fully expect Wolves fans to be, rightly, livid.

There's nothing that paying fans like less than a big time Charlie footballer refusing to play. On the one hand you can understand why he wouldn't be keen to play in case of injury. But on the other he signed a new contract of his own volition to play for Wolves in return for the money he earns. He has some nerve to turn around and tell them to piss off whilst still collecting his wage. Now if he has forefeited his wages and is not being paid while he tried to find a new club then that's understandable. Somehow though I expect Wayne is fully aware that whilst Wolves could terminate his contract they can't because they need the transfer fee. Can't help but think that justice would be served if Pulis were to suddenly lose interest after becoming concerned with Wayne's attitude.

You don't seem to be able to show support to any Welsh player, yet you are posting on a Wales Supporters messageboard. We don't know the full story here but instead of sitting on the fence or waiting until we know the facts you make out that he has told Wolves to p*ss off while still taking his wages. You could well be right, but even if you are he wouldn't be the first footballer to do it and wouldn't be the last either. Bale never got this stick on this messageboard for pretty much the same thing, but he's more important to us so thats ok obviously.

Just cus he's welsh don't expect me to sit and cheer from the sidelines because he acts like a petulant child! By all accounts he has apologised so even he has some awareness of his behaviour and how it comes across. Go on, try and put forward a case for a footballer refusing to do what he is being paid to do. If you employed me and I came in to work and said I wasn't going to work for you but still wanted to collect my wage would your response be: "yeah you go ahead pal, you are a fellow welsh man so you have my 100% support". His nationality shouldn't come into it. I do believe I took a dim view of Bales attempt to force through his transfer. I can of course understand why they would do it, but why is a club paying these players? For them to go out on the pitch and play and all this players going on strike nonsense is practically indefensible as the core tenet of their contract is that they are available to play when requires, therefore they should, or forefeit their wages. Not much in life is black and white, but this pretty much is. The only other consideration that Wayne could use in his defence is a refusal to play in the cup, that is a defence of sorts as being cup tied may put clubs off, but it sounds like he is being asked to repair Ikeme for a while as it's injury related which makes it harder to condone his actions.

And it is very distasteful behaviour. However Wolves may well be the beneficiary of such behaviour from another player in the future. The hypocrisy of pplayers taking the shilling but not wanting to play is no different from the hypocrisy of clubs complaining about tapping up and other nefarious activities that go on when they're the victims

Spinoni signing a 1year contract extension at Palace today deceases the likelihood of Hennessy playing regularly going into the next campaign. Not good news for Wales at all. I'm of the belief a starting championship keeper should always be ahead of a bench warmer. He either goes on loan or it's someone else in the sticks for me ...but ya know probably fine for Andorra. In fact before I click send If owain fon is starting and Wayne's on the bench give him his cap v Andorra and also that will send our keepers a message of they must start.

Earlier today on the radio Pulis said that Speroni had an exceptional season for Palace.
Hennessey has his work cut out displacing him as the Palace number 1.
