Annoyed that Hennessey isn't starting. So was I bro. Speroni is fast becoming a liability I hope Wayne starts impressing in training, he needs to get games under his belt!

When is he going to replace speroni for palace?
Wayne looks like he's filled out a bit. Similar physique to courtois.

Pardew didnt play Wayne in the cup when he got the job at Palace- a sure sign that Hennessey isnt rated by him. Bit harsh on Wayne, ive never been convinced by him really but his recent performances for Wales have been decent enough to show he is a championship keeper at least. I would have thought clubs would be beating the door down to take him on loan.

I was never a fan of his before his injury but since he's come back playing for Wales he has looked a different player altogether. He is definitely PL standard. I'd love to have him at Swansea if Fabianski was to leave.

Heard on the radio yesterday that Alan Pardew is chasing the signature of Tim Kruul (who he worked with at Newcastle) to be Crystal Palace's new no 1.

Unfortunately Wayne is the perfect back-up keeper for almost any top flight club & he may be destined to remain as such unless he's prepared to drop down to the Championship. There are hundreds of outfield positions up for grabs in the Premier League, but alas only 22 goalkeeping slots & with the money that these clubs can throw around they can attract the world's best. Let's face it, if Petr Cech is playing second fiddle then it's hardly surprising Hennessey can't get a game.

Haha, thought you were referring to the old system.
He needs to drop down to the Championship. The harsh reality is that he isn't better than almost every keeper in the Premier League, so if he ever wants to make something out of his club career, he needs to take the drop.

He's the player who stands to gain the most from qualification & a strong showing at the Finals. The position of goalkeeper is essentially the same the world over, it is not affected by the different nuances or playing styles from country to country - goalkeepers never get mentioned in a 4-3-3, a 4-5-1, a Christmas Tree or Diamond Formation after all - so a move to La Liga or The Bundesliga isn't so ridiculous. I'm not suggesting he'll rock up at Barca or Bayern, but why not at Valencia or Schalke?

What I don't understand is he's better than Speroni. He better than alot of keepers who are first choice prem keepers. Given, Pantillimon, Fabianski, Mcgregor,Rob Green. I just fail to understand why he isn't getting game time at Palace?

Speroni will be going soon. I think Rob Green is a good keeper tbh, underrated.

Speroni should have been dropped a while ago he has cost us a few points with his errors but it seems as if he is untouchable, god knows why.

Rumours today that West Brom want him as back up to Foster. That sounds like an awful move for him and for Wales.

Pardew would spell the end for his career. Agree with the sentiments above he just needs to take the plunge and get regular starts.

New managers always tinker. But how many ever tinker with the goalkeeper. Maybe Pardew was retaining the status quo so as not to disrupt things too much. Hennessey finished the season in the team and perhaps that is a sign that he'll start in August. Speculation I know, but maybe. Who's Palace's goalkeeping coach?

George wood is the goalkeeper coach.
Wayne will be our no1 next season so why go to wba as a reserve.

I'm not sure but all I can say is Tim Krul regressed massively under Pardew's tenure at Newcastle and looks a shadow of his former self. Generally I think there's no real competition for GK spots in any Prem team to my knowledge saying that. There must be some interest in him elsewhere surely?

3rd choice keeper as McCarthy started ahead of him today in place of the injured Speroni.
Very frustrating.

Would drive to London and bring him to Cardiff if Marshall were to leave.....Wonder if he would consider us though...needs to be playing either way.
