Alex Jones - The One Show 12-07-21, sorry to say. Doesn't surprise me. I bet she uses the 'not in Rugby though' get out of jail card.

Alex Jones - The One Show 12-07-21, sorry to say. What did she say? Can't bothered looking on iPlayer! She was on with Jermaine Jenas. Sympathised with him about Sunday, and gushed that they'd have a great chance in Qatar next year. Bit of an Uncle Twm/Dic Sion Dafydd grovelling twist to it really. Not good from an Ammanford girl.

I didn't see it, but if that's all she said, then I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

In contrast to Newport's other Collins, Lewis Collins is full on trolling the England fans on Twitter.

Do they allow republicans to get media jobs on the BBC? Alex Jones, Huw Edwards and that crowd always struck me as monarchists, and are definitely forced by their jobs to pretend like the UK is one big happy family. Huw Edwards I know he has been vocal about a few things pro-Wales, so perhaps I'm being harsh with him. But I'm not sure - I just get the vibe that he would sympathise with the English cause too - happy to be wrong about that

He is an egg-chaser, so I wasn't massively surprised by his tweet the other day about supporting England - it's probably borne out of living in England, married to an English woman etc. I don't think he'd the same with the English rugby side, let's be honest. In fairness to him, though, he has tweeted regularly during the last two Euros, and he did sign off with the line 'Quite a satisfying day' on the news the night we beat Turkey. He also conceded in an article for the Telegraph the day after we beat Belgium in 2016 that football success is far bigger on a global scale than rugby success.

The organisation that employed Saville in some capacity for 30+ years.

For some reason I seem to recall him saying his really dislikes rugby....unless that was some other Welsh guy on the BBC. Wonder if he will be supporting England in the RWC when Wales get knocked out. While on the subject of rugby, come on Springboks.

In it he says the following: "One of my sons asked me if this was âbetter than the 1970sâ â a gentle reference to my tendency to list lion-hearted players (mostly from Llanelli) and stellar tries (at the old Arms Park) from that extraordinary rugby decade. One of my best-ever experiences was being at Twickenham last September with my three sons to see the Welsh defeat England 28-25 in the Rugby World Cup, and we were also at the Millennium to see the intoxicating 30-3 win in the 2013 Six Nations. So the answer to the question â when you add this Euro 2016 experience to the list â is yes, without any doubt, this feels better than the 1970s."

Fair enough, I'll be trolling him on Twitter if he ends up supporting an England opponent in the RWC! It may have been Jamie Owen I recall making an anti-rugby remark, I often get those two mixed up.

To be honest to Huw I can recall two incidents where he was very pro Welsh football.
The famous line on BBC breakfast show
"Wales 2 Italy 1, I'll say it again, Wales 2 Italy 1.
And I also recall another time on BBC breakfast they showed Ched's brilliant back flick goal away to Iceland and I recall Huw saying something along the lines of
"Brilliant goal, if that had been scored by Wayne Rooney we would be showing it 100 times"
So I don't think he is all bad.

Huw Edwards is a good Welshman and a great broadcaster. As Welsh people, we come in all shapes and sizes, live in different place, and each perhaps have slightly contrasting perspectives on different things.
He spoke to a group of us in his private capacity earlier in the year, and came over as a proud (Welsh) patriot. I am 100% confident that, put on the spot, he would plump for Wales over England, and anyone else, all day long in football, rugby, tiddlywinks or anything else!
Being Welsh, and pleasing all our fellow countryfolk, isn't easy. As per the Meryl Streep/Steve Martin/Alec Baldwin film... "It's Complicated"!

Piers Morgan was on talk sport this morning. Like in 2016 he was declaring his Dads Welsh and he would be supporting Wales at the World Cup. I reckon he probably doesnât even know we are playing England. He revealed itâs actually his stepdad thatâs Welsh not his biological Dad so that means we can celebrate the fact that twat has zero Welsh blood.
