In danger of missing out if he continues to be benched.
Gunter may get the not over him due to his versatility. The more I think about it the more I think neco must go.
Gunter or Roberts would be nowhere that Liverpool team

It’s a shame to see Roberts’ career falter. Plenty of time to turn it around.
If the Euros were tomorrow, I wouldn’t just be taking Neco, I would be starting him.

His career is hardly "faltering" he's started 24/37 league games. Played twice as much football as Gunter this season, and played 90 minutes more recently than Chris as well.

If none of them play much between now and end of season I would take Neco and Gunts.

See your point but not a massive fan of Connor and he worries me defensively.
Think Gunter is better in that respect and can cover across the back 4 and has been there and done it.
Williams looks better going forward and could turn out to be a top player.

Not sure if I agree that Gunter is more versatile. Where is the strong evidence in this?
As far as I recall he’s only played CB or as part of a back 3 a couple of times, which hardly classes as being versatile.

You seem to have a proper chip on your shoulder about Cardiff City. I've noticed you take (not so) subtle digs at them in a lot of your posts. What's that all about? We really don't need you stirring shit and fishing for reactions on here.

As you say has only played CB in a back 3 so can't play there for us the way we play now. That being said I think I'd happily take him as a backup LB.

This is a major tournament, not some kickabout for the lads.

Roberts has played at left back and on the right wing in the past season and a half for Swansea, so I wouldn't consider him less versatile than Gunter at all, just differently versatile. Neco's also played on the left in his short career (LWB for Wales u19s for one of the last round of matches).

He's played left back for Wales a few times, especially earlier on in his career. He played there in our 0-0 draw away to Germany in 2007

Multiple occasions?? Please list as I cant think of any more than 4/5 times he’s has to play out of RB. Its a tough old decision for Giggs. Roberts will 100% go.

Anyway, I've been impressed with him when he has played there. Certainly wouldn't consider it a drop in quality from when Taylor plays. Agree that Roberts should go. My 4 fullbacks would be Roberts, Gunter, Neco and Davies.

Connor dropped for tonight’s game after his mare on Saturday. He's had an underwhelming season overall, bad run of form or has he been found out?

Wasn't great for sure, but Cooper hasn't a clue how to play to Connor's strengths. Swansea are regressing at a rate of knots, and the footballers in the team, of which Connor is one, are lost in the miasma that's Cooper's way.

The fish rots from the head. Cooper is destroying most of our better players. Connor, Celina and Byers have suffered more than most. Turgid football.

Has the same problem still where Ayew is incapable of playing a one-two. You could hear Connor screaming for the first time return ball so often today, but Ayew just wants to hold it and dribble people himself (which he's pretty good at tbf).

It saddens me to say it but Roberts needs to leave Swansea if Cooper continues as manager (which is very likely). Roberts' greatest strength is his willingness to pass and move - always looking to move into space for the return pass. Trouble is Cooper isn't the least bit interested in setting the team to play as a pass and move side. Cooper loves a lofted aimless ball down the line, or even into Swansea's short centre forward. No doubt I come across as a spoilt brat, but when you've tasted caviar you recognise fish eggs for what they are.
