Chapter 14 captured Bordeaux to a tee. No dry eyes here.
Another chapter or 2 tomorrow night!
And it is a signed copy.

Gutted that Edwards has retired. Was, and still am a big fan of his.
Thought he had a lot more to give in my opinion. 32 is no age to retire from international football.
Feel a bit annoyed by this. Same old shit.

I think it's more the fact that the next international tournament is 2 1/2 years away. Edwards will be 35 by then, and may feel like he won't still be playing - Better off having continuity throughout qualifying, rather than someone who will retire half way through a campaign IMO

There are currently no signs that we will have enough strength in depth over the coming years, and have we got a decent equivalent that can step in and do as good a job as he has right now? Unfortunately not.

So the most physically demanding position on the pitch (in my opinion). Think it's a good idea to bring in fresh blood now. Edwards has been a great servant. It's no shame to bow out now I feel. Cheers Dai!

Don't think we can criticise his commitment for his country - he clearly loved playing for us. He knows he's got some good youngsters waiting in the wings behind him so is letting them through.

Great servant, always put in great effort. But I do feel its the right decision at the right time simply because of what is potentially our greatest squad ever coming through.

I don't accept the concept on retiring from Wales.
Every season he plays on at a level that he could be selected for Wales taints everthing good he has done for us.

There is no one else in that central position.

Disappointed, thought he had another campaign in him.
Diolch Dave. Gave it all he could and seemed to love pulling on the shirt.

Unsung hero. Wonder if Giggs told him opportunities would be limited.

It's not always about football at his age. Does he have a young family? He might feel its time to put his family first, and also at his age,a rest during international football might add another couple of years to his career, which is his last pay day remember. Never let Wales down, thanks Dave.
