Liam is top lad - him and his dad are a big part of my local village team in pembs. I've played against him a year or so ago and he was quality... his strike is something else with no back-swing. With a play-off spot to fight for i cant see him getting much game time for the rest of the season. i think the plan is to try and break into the first team next season rather than a loan. Hopefully it'll work out for him.

With any luck (for Cullen’s sake) Ayew and Brewster will be off for next season.
Is Cullen a striker or a winger?

Hopefully it'll work out for him. Playing against someone who has had professional training makes you realise the levels. The difference in athleticism & consistency is remarkable I played against Tom Lockyer a lot growing up through high school - worth noting he was never predicted to be playing at the level he is now - but even still the bloke never made a mistake and you could never get near him when he had the ball. We were both central midfielders at the time so lucky enough to have a few battles against him. Was great to see him involved in our win against Hungary as well - well earned through a lot of graft! Hope Cullen gets more game time next season as he seems promising!

Is Cullen a striker or a winger? well that is a bit of an issue actually... he's probably not big enough for the no.9 role and not flat out quick enough for a winger and not really a no.10 (a bit like a few of our youngsters coming through - wilson for example). i think he'd suit being up top on the the left or right of a front 3 - potentially replacing ayew if he goes.

He's not quick enough to be a wide player, especially with the ball at his feet. Natural poacher like Brewster. Took a long time to get a run of games as a centre forward for Swans U23s as Toshack and Richards preferred bigger, more physical players there (Baker-Richardson, Biabi) to hold up the ball and run channels. When he did play as a 9 he could be peripheral for long stretches but did a decent enough job linking play and knows where the back of the net is, far more so than the aforementioned players Swansea have since released.
When played wide for Swans u23s and Wales u21s he's always been poor. Swansea certainly have better young options there (Oli Cooper, Mason Jones-Thomas), as do Wales. Swans will bring in another striker next season.

Cullen - I guess he must have decent quality and composure to have been trusted in such an important games.
Wow - Cardiff and Swansea 6th and 7th before the last game of the season; they are the only 2 that can grab the final play off spot of course. Great effort from both given the circumstances.
Everyone presuming Brentford will walk it but Cardiff are an awkward team to play. You never know with them! I am presuming they wrap up their last match next week!

Isn’t the promotion rate of the top placed team in the play offs ridiculously low? Nice to see there’s a 50% chance of having a Welsh team in the Premier League next year.

Will that goal be remembered as the 80 million pound goal that enabled the bounce back to the PL '=)

He's still qualified for the u21s through to the end of the current campaign. Qualification ends in November, with the elimination rounds taking place in March and then June 2021.
Unless they're going to play for the seniors young players should stick with their age group sides as long as they can imo. It's good experience and we want these teams as strong as they can be. Chucking anyone who might eventually be good into the senior squad to sit on a bus "for the experience" devalues it for everyone.
It's only in the last round of u21 fixtures that Cullen has been trusted to play as centre forward for that side.

Gets his first start for the Swan in place of the injured Ayew.

Great story.
The fact Swans have 9 subs now could be useful for the development of young Welsh players. Oli Cooper, Tivonge Rushesha and Daniel Williams all on the bench today, all looking for their football league debuts.

Starts again vs Luton. In a similar position to Mark Harris now, both being given opportunities in first teams. Hopefully he can get a goal today.

Crazy to think we were bemoaning our lack of striking options but now have Cullen & Harris starting in the Championship and Jephcott banging them in in League 1! Early days but very positive, Harris played well again today

Cullen had probably his best game to date, lively in and out of possession. Disappeared as the game progressed but that was mainly down to Luton bossing proceedings, with Swansea getting a lucky win. Roberts was MOTM again, and could easily have got an assist with a delicious cross for Cabango, after his deflected goal.
