Wilson probably doesn't deserve a call-up on merit, but I quite like it all the same. It's a bit of a statement to show the talent coming through, and you can clearly see it's motivated some of the other youngsters (e.g. Tyler Roberts interview today: www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39285564). It probably also helps the process of bedding Woodburn into the squad seeing as they're big mates, and Coleman might actually plan on using him. |

Marley Watkins has never been tested - Norman Whiteside went straight into the Northern Ireland team for the WC finals in 1982 in Spain without having played ONE game for Man Utd - went on to be a legend for that club scoring the winner in an FA Cup Final three years later!!!!

I can see it now, in twenty years time, telling my grand kids that I was there when Wilson passed the ball to Woodburn and Big Ben scored the winner to help us qualify for Russia ;-)

Another player from Northern Ireland who made his international debut before playing any league/cup game for his team was Wolves player Johnny Gorman at 17 years old. England will start capping players before there club debuts in future in case they decide to play for a higher world ranking team.  |

Not entirely sure if he qualifies for the Toulon tournament, as he has already turned 20 last month.

I would have Davies for Fon Williams, Dummett for Taylor, Huws for MacDonald, Lawrence for Bale, Watkins for Wilson and perhaps Fox for Walsh. |

I hope he does not end up at Wolves, recently seems like a graveyard of Welsh forwards Jake Cassidy & Bradley Reid. Lets hope the other Welshman Aaron Collins fares better at the club. |

Bradley Reid in particular was a weird one because he was touted for success when he left Wrexham. Disappointing he hasn't pushed on. |

Liverpool's squad: Karius, Clyne, Wijnaldum, Lovren, Milner, Firmino, Coutinho, Salah, Gomez, Henderson, Sturridge, Grujic, Klavan, Moreno, Lallana, Mignolet, Origi, Solanke, Matip, Stewart, Flanagan, Kent, Ward, Woodburn, Alexander-Arnold.
Seems like a shame as there are a few youngsters on the tour. Klopp won't let him leave saying he's in his plans but he's not included on the tour.
Hope he is given a chance as he's clearly talented because of the number of goals he scores.

'sappenin with Wilson, is he still injured? I haven't heard a peep about him all pre-season. Was hoping he'd secure a loan move to a good championship team but doesn't look like that's on the cards.

He can have a loan move after the window closes, think this is what will happen, probably to a lower end championship club who lose a good player just before the window closes

Would be better off in league 1 if they don''t qualify for the group statges I disagree, Celtic have helped the development of several youngsters recently - Patrick Roberts, Dembele, Van Dijk. It's a chance to play in front of 50,000 people week-in week-out and would be a fantastic experience for him. |
