As I said, the number of top quality players coming out of the league does suggest it's fertile ground for developing promising talent. |

A lot of liverpool fans on twitter seem to really rate him and think he deserves more of a chance. Either way, I hope it's not just another u23 season for him! He'll be 21 soon so needs to play competitive games

He seems to be a Bellamy type player doesn't he, but perhaps he is a more prolific goalscorer? I guess the main question mark is about his physicality and vulnerability to injury?
We seem to have so may attacking options coming through. I was getting worried about Bale and his pace/power until last night (many like Rush and Owens just went rapidly downhill when they hit 30 and lost their pace) - he still has it! Goodness if him and Ramsey can give another 4-5 years at a decent level then it will be happy days for Wales!

Went to watch the u/23 last night, barely sat down when harry Wilson opened up the scoring with a lobbed header, he has a wand of a left foot, two curlers into the far corner followed, the second of which was a beauty. It’s plain to see he’s too good for this level, hopefully he stays fit and gets a loan move in January . Word on Ben Woodburn, again far too good for this level, played midfield for most of the game, strolled through it, also had some hefty challenges from spurs lads who clearly weren’t going to let him run at them, forced a decent save 2 nd half then moved out to left late on... highlight for me was when woodburn was getting some rough treatment from a cpl of spurs players, Wilson was first over to back him up.. mates 👍🏼

Scored 6 goals in three games this week against Spurs, West Ham and Charlton U23s. Will probably be loaned out in January. Could be our wildcard should we make the World Cup finals.

Was at Plymouth as a youngster before £100k move to Liverpool. |
