Not at all surprised, judging by the way he played today. Totally committed and going for every ball in the air like a raging bull. Didn't seem all that good with the ball at his feet, and his ball distribution was poor (and occasionally dangerous). All in all. Not a loss and I hope he is not mates with Harry, Ben and Jordan...

His last England appearance was a 2-2 draw against Canada Under 20s in 2014 The switch went well for him, didn't it? It probably worked out better for us in hindsight! Glad he decided to move on. Good riddance!

Thanks. First real chance, and totally against run of play, Harry scores again... Number 8 of the season. But Leicester justifiably win 1-2. Thomas involved in most of what Leicester do Wilson is clearly too good for that level but I can’t see him breaking into the first team this season or even next. Wasn’t there talk of a Bundesliga loan at some point? He would thrive in that league.

Don't think he's proved enough to get a loan to any top tier club, though the proposed move to Celtic under Brendan might have been just what he needed to kickstart his pro career. Incredibly, Liverpool rejected it!

Incredibly, Liverpool rejected it! Well i guess they believe that his development is best suited under the coaches at the club at this moment in time. And to be fair, he is doing pretty decent at that level. Possibly a loan move in Jan or Summer might be wise though, to help him further with his development and playing against men, rather than boys.

Let's be fair, Etien Velikonja was scoring a hat trick every week in the development league. It means nothing other than keeps you match sharp-ish.

I was thinking that a loan move to Cardiff might actually be good for both parties. City need a winger to give them more options off the bench and if he was good enough he'd get a few starts too.

Two points away from the play-offs and just beat Shef United - so perhaps a good move all around

Wanted man Harry Wilson ‘rejects’ new Liverpool contract with permanent exit possible www.thisisanfield.com/2017/12/harry-wilson-rejects-new-liverpool-contract-permanent-exit-possible/Wilson has been a key player for the Reds’ academy sides throughout his time with the club, but is yet to break through on a regular basis on the first-team stage. The Wales international made his senior debut in last season’s FA Cup third-round replay win at Plymouth Argyle, but has since returned to the U23 fold. He has been in fine form so far this season, scoring 11 goals and laying on a further 10 in 15 appearances, building on his excellent campaign last time out. But a lack of opportunities under Jurgen Klopp has seemingly led to Wilson setting his sights on a move elsewhere. According to ESPN FC, the 20-year-old has rejected the offer of an extended deal with Liverpool, which could prompt a switch to the Championship. Preston North End have already been credited with an interest in a January loan, but now Wilson could instead leave on a permanent basis. Wilson last agreed terms with Liverpool ahead of the 2016/17 campaign, though it is unclear when his current contract expires. It would be difficult to begrudge Wilson pushing for the Anfield exit, given his prolonged excellent form at academy level has fallen on deaf ears at Melwood. Wilson is no longer training under Klopp every day, instead taking sessions with U23s manager Neil Critchley, underlining his drop down the pecking order. With Sheyi Ojo and Ryan Kent currently out on loan with Fulham and Freiburg respectively, it is likely that Wilson could be further overlooked if he remained on Merseyside beyond this season. Preston won’t be the only side interested in signing Wilson, who has added an industrious edge to his game after persistent injury issues in previous seasons. He would no doubt shine in the Championship if given time to settle, and could even be an option for sides chasing promotion. Wilson is unlikely to be the only youngster to leave Liverpool in January, either on loan or permanently, with Ovie Ejaria, Cameron Brannagan and Ben Woodburn set to follow him. What might be wise if Liverpool were to sell the Welsh international is to include a buy-back clause in any deal. American forward Brooks Lennon is already on loan with MLS side Real Salt Lake City, and is believed to be close to agreeing a long-term move, with his Reds deal set to expire next year.

Good for him, it’s a bold step. He’s probably seen how well Brooks is doing and thought I want a piece of that. Preston or a similarly placed Champ club would be a good move.

I wonder if a move to the Budesliga may suit him like Sancho the young England winger has done. If he wants to get back into the Premier League then their shopping market is Europe's top flights not the Championship

I thought Klopp was meant to be some sort of guru at developing and bringing through players? Seen nothing of the sort at Liverpool, apart from Trent Arnold. Wilson, and I would suggest Woodburn need to be looking at getting out.

Though Danny Ward staying there worries me the most because Karius and Mignolet are shite, yet Klopp continues to use them over Danny.

Yeah all gone quiet on the Wilson front. I'm sure I read on another thread he was moving abroad, family source apparently.

This is from the local press: "Wilson, who arrives at the KCOM Stadium with a healthy reputation as a goalscorer in youth football, but with many preferring someone with a little more senior experience. However, with the Tigers trailing 2-1 at Preston North End on Saturday and Adkins rolled the dice and threw Wilson into the deep end off the bench in the second half and as soon as he did the game swung in City’s favour. The winger injected energy and pace into the side that had previously been missing and it was enough to ask questions of a Preston defence who had been coasting the second half. Unfortunately Wilson was unable to inspire a comeback, but his cameo will have City fans hopeful that a survival campaign can in fact be successful." www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/three-up-three-down-harry-1168246
