Follow in Harry's footsteps at Hull? If Fulham don't go up I'd love him to go there, or maybe Brentford Those two could suit him. I think if Fulham fail to go up, they will lose Cairney, who I think is on 50k a week. They have a moneybags chairman but I wonder if they're flirting with FFP?

On the bench for Liverpool today, behind Solanke who somehow seems to be ahead of him at Liverpool despite being shit No chance Ben'll come on. Lallana, Ings & Moreno/Clyne will be the three subs ahead of him, does Klopp just not fancy Woodburn for some reason? Are Solanke and Woodburn similar players competing for the same position?

Not exactly. Besides. When Ben came on, he replaced that rubbish player Mohammad whats his name. So all we need now is for CR7 and Mohammad to develop Metatarsalgia or something and hey volla, 2 Welshmen in the Final

Hammer him over Ward.

My point exactly. There's no point hammering Klopp for nonsensical reasons. Hammer him over Ward. The Ward decision still seems strange. You could make the argument that Klopp doesn't deserve to be hammered over Ward. It could be seen that Klopp was simply being ruthless and new a 3rd choice keeper of Ward's standard would cost too much to bring in. They're in the CL final after all. Klopp has been remarkably prudent though and have turned a profit on player transfers. But surely would have done better to nurture the asset by letting him go to Huddersfield? Or I wonder if at the start of the season Klopp was thinking it was a 3 way competition for the no.1 jersey? Who knows. Next season Woodburn needs a loan. Ward needs a permanent move away. Harry needs to gauge in pre-season if he's realistically going to get many games at Liverpool. He's a Liverpool fan and I hope he doesn't wait around in false hope next year. What his career doesn't need is another period of no games.

I suspect Klopp will loan him when physically, mentally and developmentally ready.

Training in Marbella ahead of the Champions League Final. Looks like Ben is bulking up nicely! Interesting article about him playing chess with young Alexander-Arnold.

The Starman (and Wardy) not even making the bench in Kiev. What little respect I had for Kloop has now diminished even further.

It was a strange bench from Klopp, two full backs and two midfielders who have only just returned from injury. Surely a wildcard like Woodburn is worth a place over Can?

Well Klopp certainly has been very bad for Welsh players:
Allen shipped on and not ever given a fair crack Ward never given a chance despite their dreadful standard of goalkeeping Wilson never given a chance Woodburn playing for the U19 in Europe!
However, Germans have surprisingly enough benefited - the goalkeeper (no need to add any comment) and picking his home boy Can for a sub spot last night despite him just coming back from injury and not being fit when they needed more attacking balance on the pitch

I can't argue aggressively the case for any of those Welsh players except maybe for Allen but it is nevertheless unfortunate!

I would have been happy enough with Ben being the 19th man and with half a foot in the door, but it doesn't look promising for our Ben when the first signing is a midfielder ... Liverpool confirm £40m deal to sign Fabinho from Monaco

Like all top 6 they want instant success and will spend millions than try to bring young talent thro. Better of dropping division imoa

Don’t think a defensive midfielder who also plays at fullback will have much impact on Woodburns playing time.

Regardless of any summer signings, I can't see Woodburn establishing himself there any time soon

Ben still carrying the magical number 58 on his shirt - and our Harry has opted for number 59 ;-) Ben is getting a lot of attention in the centre of midfield - and Kloopy is keeping on yelling at him, aqs he is not sharp enough with his link up work ... Ben does look like he has gained a couple of inches and bulked up well since China. Harry is taking all the dead balls - and taking them really well.
Nice cheeky chipped goal from Harry for their first
EDIT A second goal for Harry, just on the stoke of half time - great runs from deep a la Rambo ;-)

Sheff Utd rumoured to be interested in loaning Woodburn for the season. Would be very happy if that came off.

Seems to be in demand and highly thought of so hoping we can get him, especially as we have lost Brooks. Thanks Your non-Welsh Sheffield United supporting forum lurker!

Very similar to your David - in my humble opinion, actually more consistent and much better at the high press defending.
This is a recent FA of Wales piece to celebrate him

Liverpool lucky not to have lost v Bury today. Sorely missing Harry's sharpness up front ;-)
Ben came on in the 2nd half and Kloopy put him back on the right side of midfield. Ben looking sharp and very fit. Forced one excellent save and created two really good opportunities. Very encouraging, especially seeing that Harry and Danny might be on their way out?
