Can someone explain why the headline on yesterday's Woodburn story says "Coleman to snatch ben".
Totally gives the wrong impression, with woodburn having been in the Wales system since August 2013.
Shows how well the Welsh Way is working

I think the sooner he's capped the better.

I would be very surprised if he wasn't picked for the squad this Thursday.

I'd be disappointed if he wasn't. Not surprised.

I'd be disappointed if he wasn't. Not surprised. I share that sentiment. Not a surprise at all, but I would indeed like to see him at least invited to train with the squad

If he wants to play and Coleman thinks he might offer something in the Ireland game then, yes, let's select him. His eligibility for England should have no bearing on his selection. It demeans us and the value of caps if we cap him so someone else can't
What? - this lad will be part of our future, Jurgen Klopp rates him so it would be criminal not to get him capped now and make sure England can't snatch him!!
It certainly would NOT demean the value of a cap by capping Ben Woodburn now in readiness.
Jeepers! we ain't blessed with that much talent that we can throw one away to the Sais!!!

Anyone else slightly concerned that Woodburn hasn't come out to say anything publicly about this? It might simply be that he doesn't see a need to, having already seemingly committed to us. I am nervous that he will have has his head turned though, especially with him being brought up in England and only qualifying though one Welsh grandparent (as I understand?), as well as the advances England will have made over the last few months.

He has played for Wales through all the age groups from the age of 13, he was called up by England U17's but instead played for Wales (which he captained) and they beat France 3-2 and now he is the captain of the Welsh u19's side. I think it's safe to say he is committed and he will be playing for our senior squad soon.
Also I have read in interviews that his footballing idols are Bale and Ramsey and who are England going to have as team mates to turn his head away from his heroes? Getting the chance to play international football with one of the best players on the planet will be a massive pull in our favour to persuade dual qualified players to play for us.
If I am wrong on this, you have my permission to shoot me in the head.

Dont worry he considers himself Welsh and has turned down English advances

Good. Not necessarily to keep English mits off him, he deserves to be in the squad on merit. I honestly think we should look at bringing him on if we're struggling for goals too.

He was asked how close Woodburn is to making the squad and made the point that a number of the youngsters are knocking on the door, including Harry Wilson too. He went on to talk about their grievance with the IFA over Barry Horns and the shit ticket allocation - hopefully it'll be an extra bit of material they can use to fire up the boys.

Chris Wathan is rarely wrong. Sad to see that Huws is out. Seeing both Church and Huws are out, I really wouldn't be surprised if Woodburn actually gets 20 minutes playing time. After we score our third, that is ;-)

If the IFA banned the Barry Horns I wouldn't mind them running Wales home internationals, too.

Each to their own I suppose, but I think you'd struggle to find any other Welsh fan that doesn't think they're a brilliant contributor to the good atmosphere created in our games.

Joe Walsh (MK Dons) another uncapped player in squad. He's been called up a number of times recently mind so not really surprising to see him in there again.

The only surprise is that he plays for a struggling League 1 side, yet Dummett doesn't get the call up

Got a feeling we'll see Woodburn at some point during the game. Him and Lawrence could be the difference!
