& multiple said he played very well today. He did well minus his 2 dives. Oh quick lets go on apostle and post some negativity. No, just posted what I had read, and said it was one opinion. Looked elsewhere but found nothing else.

Maybe he will overtake Joniesta as the Ipswich golden boy.

Sounds like he's already done that.

Lets hope Lawrence goes onto big things. At the moment i get the impression he can turn it on when he wants, therefore doesn't always want to. Reminds me a bit of Jason Koumas - lets hope not.

Can take on players like Koumas used to do, which is rare nowadays. Although Lawrence is a lot quicker, perhaps he is not technically as good but this does not mean he can't go on to be a better player. He does need to be more consistent and give Ranieri something to think about.

Can't say I've seen anything in Lawrence of Koumas, who is one of the most technically gifted players I've ever seen. They perhaps have a similar way of 'gliding' rather than running, and can make things look effortless

I'm surprised no one has brought this up, including our "expert" pundits (btw, if anyone has, sorry I've missed it). Opening line of this thread is reminiscent of the Brexit campaign...

At lease no one can accuse Cookie of not giving him a chance. He came on for the entire 2nd half v Andorra in October and had a good 20-30 minutes in all three friendlies prior to the Euros. But for his late injury, who knows what part he could have played in the Euros?

Against Holland, he was bloody brilliant. He's got a lot of potential and reckon he will come good, given time.
Needs to be given an opportunity and seems McCarthy is keen on him at ITFC. Hopefully he will stay fit and continue performing cause their fans seem to think he's too good for them.
I'm confident he will be in the Prem soon.

This thread title really needs changing Lawrence has to be on Premier League clubs radars on this form? Let's not get carried away. Great to see he's doing well, but he needs to do it for a whole season. He was extremely disappointing for Cardiff last year and has only been good in patches this season (he's on three league goals). If he can become more consistent, then you might have some pl clubs after him and he could become important for us.

He was extremely disappointing for Cardiff last year So were most Cardiff players, Marshall apart True, but to have no impact in terms of goals (and assists?) in 20 odd appearances is particularly poor. You'd expect better from somone who we'd hope is one of the leading players in the championship/verging on prem quality. All I'm saying is, his current form is good, but he needs to maintain that to prove he's at that level and should make our first team.

Agree with iot Also, after 18 appearances this season for Ipswich he has already picked up 7 yellow cards.

He was lucky with his first goal yesterday in the cup: ball falls kindly for him and the keeper should have done better. The second his a great finish. He almost grabbed a hattrick according to the match report www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38474572

That is harsh he was not extremely disappointing at Cardiff last year in my opinion. Just because he didn't score lots of goals does not make it a failure on a personal level. He was very direct and set up a few goals.

He was very direct and set up a few goals. It's not that he didn't score lots of goals, he didn't score any goal. According to this: www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=73898 he didn't assist any goal too. If I remember correctly, he was dropped from the first team in the last few games of his loan spell. I must admit that I didn't watch any of the games so he might have done well without it showing up in the stats, although the fact he was dropped suggests differently. His current tally of three goals is his best in the championship to date - admittedly, last year was the first time he had a full season in the league. But there's not much there to suggest he's a leading championship player/verging on prem. I've only seen him for Wales and he's shown glimpses of quality but a lot of inconsistency too. He had a good game against the Dutch followed by a number of disappointing performances before another good game. When he develops that consistency I'm sure he'll become important for us.

The form Welsh player. Impressive stuff. Yes. 5 goals in 2017 already. Long may it continue. Sounds like its worth staying up to see: "right footed shot from more than 35 yards to the top right corner. "

Indeed, it's the quality of the strikes as well.
Let's say he carries on in this vein by March. Does he force his way into the starting 11 or will he be that quality impact sub we've been waiting for?
