Still on here is he not ? Just under a different name I thought . Deleted himself after we failed to qualify for Russia I think and then came back under a different username about a year later Yep, my day job these days is giving dai life coaching advice on how to enjoy qualification and winning nations league groups. How times have changed from the Tosh years 😂 Yes, because you're an expert at enjoying qualification! I'm pretty sure you were one of the ones who was disappointed when we lost in Bosnia because we didn't qualify 'in style'! (I was a little bit as well btw)

How times have changed from the Tosh years 😂 Yes, because you're an expert at enjoying qualification! I'm pretty sure you were one of the ones who was disappointed when we lost in Bosnia because we didn't qualify 'in style'! (I was a little bit as well btw) Yeah I enjoyed the outcome but not the means. When one dreams of putting to rest decades of disappointment doing it 10 minutes after the final whistle, after a defeat, hoping someone else has lost doesn’t hold a candle to a last minute winner at home. The fact is we had already qualified anyway and had done for some time. As far as I was concerned we qualified in principle the night we beat Israel away, it wasn’t likely we would fail to finish second from that point and even then third place in those days got a play off. So it wasn’t as exciting as it could have been and perhaps deserved to be given just how much near miss nonsense had gone before. That being said the real holy grail for me was the 32 team summer World Cup and I’ll never get to experience what qualifying for that feels like because the last one was Russia 2018 😢 The Euros is great but the World Cup is the biggest show on Earth, well, it was until FIFA royally fucked it up with Qatar and 3 team groups from 2026.

Those are insane wages. If he goes to Swansea and helps them up, playing week in, week out, I'd like that. Failing that Bournemouth are a good footballing side and almost certainly going up, if he goes there and gets regular football and carries that on in the Premier League that can only be good for all concerned.

That's why Derby are in the doo doo with playing wages like that.

If you can do stuff like that against QPR, third in the Championship and a well organised side, you can do it against the likes of Estonia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova etc. Definitely worth looking at again, it's not like he's 34 and having a little run and even if he was the time is now, if players are playing well I don't care if they're 18 or 38, they can be useful to us.

Can't see him ever being more than a squad player in the PL. He's better off staying in the Championship as a big fish in a small pond playing week in week out. All three of those teams linked have a strong chance of being relegated too.
Wouldn't blame him if he backed himself and a gave it a go though of course. He's almost 28 years old, so he might not get another opportunity to move up, and after being ignored by Page for so long he might feel his only chance of getting a call up is being on the books at a PL team.

If I was going to go to any of them I'd choose Watford because they look like they have something about them and they hit back, they play quite attacking football and I think they'd suit Tom's style of play far better than Burnley or Norwich.

If I were to choose someone to have a go in the Prem, it would be Lawrence. Deserves a shot to see if he's capable of playing at that level.

Guys, he doesn't even get into the Wales squad anymore and he's on 37 grand per week. I doubt he will be in the PL. He would have been signed years ago otherwise.

He won't be going to a top Premier club, he to inconsistent. Norwich Bournemouth Watford and wba that has been spouted will be my guess. He needs move not only for himself but Derby are so deep in sh@t they need to have a fire sale. Playing best season in his whole Derby career so far and I would live him to stay snd help Derby do the impossible and stay up with Tom scoring the vital goal on the last kick of the season and prevent bankruptcy... a statue would be built for the one time boi boys favourite scapegoat of abuse... I can dream but, he will be gone in January

Absolutely fantastic goals. Based on that potential he should walk into the Wales squad.
The only problem is his lack of consistency isn't it? Austria or Scotland in a WC play off - can you rely on him to deliver a 7 out of 10 performance?
So frustrating as he is as talented as any player outside of Bale or Ramsey and has so much to give if only we could rely on him! Someone with his ability would have been in the Premiership for the last 5 years if his form was steadier
If he is in good form in February / early March though - pick him in the squad!

If he carries on this form he could be in line for a recall. Most of the players left out of the squad are usually made out to be better than they actually are by people on here and social media, but in Lawrence’s case he seems to genuinely showing a bit of the form needed to get in.
Good news for us but a shame for him that we’ve got some strong options in his position. Saying that, if he doesn’t get in, it won’t stop the Twitter fans asking why players in totally different positions are selected ahead of him haha.
