Really? Lets leave politics out of sport. You see where politics gets the world. We have democracy - there is a vote available to change things. How about leaving sporting people to do what the hell they like, instead of having to micro analyse everything they do? I am a passionate Welshman but for goodness sake - I thought he'd done something unacceptable when I saw the first couple of lines Wales is made up of 3mn people not 3mn robots and each has their own journey. Such arrogance to judge people on such things. How about everyone who throws a stone reflects what a decent human being they are, doubt there'd be as much commitment to act like the great authority on life and what makes a good Welshman. There are big differences between South. East and West and North Wales. The real divisiveness originates from such criticism. Really? Mate lived in Glasgow for ten years,you can't get more political than Rangers and Celtic.If you don't get how that flag is thought of by the majority of our support,you must be very unaware. |

I remember a game under Coleman, can't remember which one, but Lawrence was called up - his 4th or 5th call up I think. Didn't get on the pitch. Then tweeted afterwards: 'Another long drive home' (yawn smiley) He had some shit from Welsh fans then. Anyone remember that? |

Not sure this is a jibe at Wales necessarily but more like ingratiation with the fans. Probably a bit like doing the ayatollah or somesuch as far as he's concerned?? Notice that Matondo has been using the WATP hashtag in social media too which some say has loyalist connections? Lawrence's Twitter profile still has a picture of him in action for Wales as well as a Rangers pic. Ramsey steered clear of this as far as I could see whilst at Rangers. |

There's no need for it, he know's that there's no need for it and that it can and will definitely do more harm than good. I had the British flag taken off my photo on the board at work, I asked for a Welsh one, making it very clear that I don't like being associated with that flag. If I was a Welsh professional footballer I'd steer completely clear of it.

WATP,"We are the people",common enough expression or chant for Rangers fans,it's kinda sectarian ,as in we are the chosen people,but so are most chants by both of the old firm.So not great ,but not specifically loyalist. |

Oh I know and it’s completely understandable. I watched the match and can’t help but notice they’re both playing. I think his time with Wales ended a while ago. With Brooks and Wilson unavailable then Lawrence should be called up if the decision is purely football based.
I've no idea what off-field issues there may be though. One thing is for sure, posting Union Jack emojis should not preclude his selection.

First off cards on table lived in Glasgow for 14 years and followed Celtic home and away during that period ,I physically detest Rangers !It never stopped me recognising good players in their team ,Andy Goram still the second best goalkeeper I ever saw,Nev obs top!So while it hurts to watch Lawrence and Matondo playing for THEM,if it helps Wales I'll bite that particular bullet.As for Lawrence I think the phrase doing the heavy lifting in your comment is"Ive no idea what off-field issues",I don't rate Lawrence, personally,always thought he was a one trick pony,but my opinions don't matter,Page makes the call,and I'm happy to accept the decision of the manager who got us to the world Cup,and has seen Lawrence at close quarters ,it's really that simple. |

One thing is for sure- when he isn’t called up for the next double header Page is going to be asked to justify his selection far more robustly than he has ever been in the past so we may get more insight into what’s going on.

If he does make the squad, he'll need to remember to pack the Red Dragon in his case, and not the Union Jack!
