At last I've found a place in my team for a player who is having a superb season with the Swans. Against Fulham he combined beautifully with Gylfi Sigurdsson and Leon Britton, who together collectively ripped the Cottagers to shreds with their controlled possession. Allen took his goal with the same relaxed manner in which he played the game. He has a touch of Barcelona's Andres Iniesta about him and the bottle to go with it. Garth has got it spot on!

I think he's more like Iniesta tbh! fast dribbler on the ball, gives beautiful passes, makes brilliant runs, fast, small - genius! Aaron Ramsey is more like Xavi i.m.o he can dribble the ball fantastically, gives amazing though balls and great passes, isn't afraid to make the tackle, and he starts most attacks off! ------------------------Ramsey---------------------------- ---------Collison---------------------Allen----------------- --Bale------------------Church---------------Joniesta---- amazing!

I'm confused re why Church is in that lineup. Yes, very strange. Surely Morison, Vokes and Evans are all ahead of him in the current pecking order?

I'm sure everyone's heard now...3 Million very cheeky bid, Joe Allen got trending on Twitter, is Wenger looking for a future midfield 3 of Allen Ramsey Wilshere? if so and 'Joniesta' lives up to all the hype he's getting at the moment, in a few years time could we have a midfield 3 not that far off the quality of Spain? no? tiki taka's the future anyway. So, anyone see Allen move this summer? i don't think so.

Joe allen wont leave the swans this year!Allen's the jewell in the swans crown and a bid of 3 million would be an insult!

I'd say 10 million would be a fair price. I'd be in favour of a move to Arsenal.

When you consider that Oxlade-Chamberlain went for around the £10 million mark whilst playing Championship football, then Swansea can expect to receive at least £15 million for Allen. Especially when you consider Henderson went for £16 million. It would be easy to underestimate how good Allen is. The combination of tackle count and pass completion is up there with the best in Europe - right now. And he's 22.
Unless someone comes in with a silly offer I don't see Allen moving. He's been pretty clear about his intentions to stay. It's worth remembering that at the start of the season Agustien was the preferred choice, so good though Allen is, he will want another season at a club where from now on he is a virtually certain starter.

I think the Oxlade deal could rise to ten million, rather than it being a straight up payment. And it is widely accepted that Liverpool paid well over the odds for Henderson. But, I do take your point - between 10 and 12 would be about right for me though. If he was to speak to Wenger and felt comfortable that he would be in the mix for first team selection, then I don't really see how you can turn that down. The more champions league players we have, the better.

Allen isn't English though. Fair point, with that in mind £3 million is just about right.

Ramsey went for £5 million without palying in the Premier League. Swans should be looking for £6 million plus if they were to sell.

Although I'd like to see him at a CL club in the not too distant future, I think it'd be a mistake to leave the Swans at this stage. Another campaign under his belt as a regular starter in a good footballing side would surely benefit all concerned in the long run.
Plus £3m is a joke if true. I agree with those suggesting around the £10m mark.

Which is why if other clubs -like Arsenal?- are genuinely interested they'll go in for him now...

Not this season and that fee is an insult. Pure Voyeurism.
On another note I believe that Joe will eventually have to play in a team with a big squad as i do not think he is strong enough to play 40 plus games a season. In a larger squad he could be used in a rotation system and play 30 to 35 games which would protect him from early wear and tear.
