Lads ye are taking a chance offering tickets for the game in Dublin in the hope they will be reciprocated for the game in Cardiff. What is to stop someone who has promised you a ticket in Cardiff in exchange for a Dublin ticket "losing" your details after the Dublin game is over? Or claiming they didn't get the tickets they expected for the Cardiff game? Or a myriad of other excuses?

Pretty much all the pubs around the stadium are decent and there are no pubs 'off limits' to away fans. You will be welcome everywhere.
Slatterys, The Chop House and the Gas Works are very close to the stadium and usually wedged before kick off. Good news is your allowed to bring your pint (plastic) out onto the street where there's a bit of room but it can be a bit slow getting served. Crowes & Paddy Cullens are two great pre and post match pubs in Ballsbridge.
Head to O'Donoghoes, Toners or Doheny & Nesbitts on Baggot St later in the evening. Decent pubs in the city centre and convenient from the stadium too.

I've just booked a lovely B&B on the coast in Bray, now crossing my fingers for two tickets. I shouldn't have any problems but my mate only has one away so not sure whether he'll manage :/

By my reckoning, anyone that has one out of the last eight aways could get a ticket

Anyone got any latest inside info regarding tickets? It's definitely been quiet on that front the last month or so.

Anyone got any latest inside info regarding tickets? It's definitely been quiet on that front the last month or so. I am still waiting on Father Christmas to bring me my brother's home ticket... Must have had a word in his ear from Saint Patrick ;-( ... Took the FAI about 20 minutes to debit my card and then another four weeks to re-credit it ...

Blimey those prices look a bit steep! Will our allocation be similar prices? Think ours are 55 euro (50+5 fee) Very low down, behind the goal and NOT under cover! The Aviva was designed especially to frustrate the away fans ;-( 55 Euro! dear lord, that's over half the cost of my home tournament ticket!

Originally had booked on ferry from Holyhead on Thursday 8.55am and returning 3pm Saturday. Booked this a while back thinking everything would be booked up straight away, it cost £70. I checked Ryanair flights out of Liverpool last Friday out in Thursday 8am and back 6pm Saturday £37. Turns out we could cancel our booking with stena and get a refund of the fare for a cancellation fee of £3 for the entire booking, so we have opted for the flights to save on money and travelling time. Not sure the Liverpool flights are still at that price but an option for anyone who has a ferry booked with stena and having second thoughts.

AER LINGUS have announced seven departures between BRISTOL and DUBLIN for the match.
I had a quick look, and if you are fast, you can get a return flight for only £45: Out Friday afternoon and back Sunday early evening.
The cheapest Ryan Air return from Bristol is currently £88 Prices from Cardiff (Flybe) are really ridiculous...

Can anyone confirm it is possible to travel to Ireland with a driving licence? I've stupidly left my passport in a storage locker in Somerset and not sure I'll get it back by end of March. I'm going by ferry rather than flying and I'm pretty sure I didn't need a passport in 2007, but I can't really remember.

Always travel over to Ireland with just my driving license, never had an issue. Most of the time never even been asked for ID.

You will have no problem coming to Dublin on the ferry, in the very unlikely event of been asked for ID, even a bank card will do. However on your way back through UK immigration that may be different lol

There is still limited availability on Sail-Rail trips, if you don't want to pay for accommodation. I looked at Cardiff Central station to Dublin, and its still £39 each way (not including rail-card discounts etc): Dept. Cardiff 19:34 on the Thursday Arrive Dublin 6am on match-day (on Irish Ferries) Dept Dublin Saturday 2.15am and Arrive Cardiff 1.17pm (On StenaLine) Similar deal is £46 each-way from London Euston (not including rail-cards etc) www.arrivatrainswales.co.uk/SailRail/Quite frankly, I am a bit shocked, but, YOU CAN STILL FLY FROM CARDIFF TO ANGLESEY for £20 on the Thursday OR Friday morning. Back Monday morning - if needed (but back on Flybe Dub-CF is only £45 on Monday...

You can enter with a drivers licence from UK however both Ryanair and Aer Lingus require you to have a passport to fly with them so it's essentially not the immigration rules that are a problem for you it's the rules of the individual airlines. However, a driver licence is fine for the ferry as far as I'm aware but best to check with the company to make sure
