Flying from Bristol to Dublin and should arrive at 6:15pm on the day of the game (tight squeeze I know!). Anyone else doing this and want to share a taxi?

If anyone is struggling to find cheap airfares for this, you can try finding a cheap flight to PARIS and connecting with the 4-daily Aer Lingus flights that are still only £58 RETURN (Paris-Dublin-Paris) to CDG, or Transavia to/from Orly airport (£62).
Other option is AMSTERDAM with 5-daily Aer Lingus flights that are still only £51 RETURN.
You can probably save a few more pennies using Ryan Air / Wizz Air via Poland or Scandinavia etc.

Very tight assuming Ryanair and it is a good 10-15 minute walk potentially to get into arrivals and that includes asumming Passport control is quick.................. can always ask people directing you to get you to front of queue at passport control as on way to match, yup its cheeky but a smile may work. Taxi should be reasonably quick just insist they use the Port Tunnel to get you close to the ground, limit any bag to change of clothes or none at all and buy if required. Pay to get seat right at front of plane and that will save you time. On a good day should have enough time.

Still loads on Ryan air, brum to Dublin flying out 23rd, home 25th for under £100. I've used sail rail a few times to get over there- last time was about was about five years ago but only cost £65 return from Cardiff. Ferry from Holyhead goes straight to Dublin.

Aer Lingus Brum to Dublin is a good bet - about £100 return. British Airways from London City for around £90 rtn. Only Bristol and Cardiff costing £220-£320... on direct flights ...
If you preference is Bristol, then: EasyJet or KLM for £60 rtn to Amsterdam combined with Aer Lingus from there = total of under £120 with 45 to 75 minutes in Schipol airport... Even on Match-day, you can dept Bristol at 0750am , have 4 hours in AMS and be in Dublin by 3pm!
MATCH DAY FROM CARDIFF for £74 : Flybe Cardiff 09.20am to Paris CDG arrive at 11.35am = £43 Aer Lingus 5pm to Dublin arrive at 5.50pm - £31 Back Saturday similar prices
Its exactly the same price from Cardiff on Thursday morning as well - so if you don't fancy the rushed taxi drive before kick-off, that also cool ...

I looked at the website and its £43 each way from Cardiff, so you could perhaps combine it with flying one way, as it does take a total of 9 hours or so? Bookable maximum of 27 weeks ahead (so you need to wait until Friday to book it!) www.irishferries.com/uk-en/offers/sail-rail/

Booked a seat right at the front of the plane so should get off first. Not taking any bags at all as I'm going straight to the airport on the Saturday morning to fly home after a night out. Only costing me £24 with Aer Lingus to Birmingham. Bargain!

On Saturday 25th March Dublin v Roscommon is scheduled to take place at Croke Park in Gaelic Football, probable start time is 7pm.
Tickets on day cost €15, up to day before €10 and can be bought online at GAA.ie or at any Supervalu shop you see in Dublin.
Game is 35 minutes a half with 15 players a side. Goal is 3 points, i.e. back of net, between the upright it is 1 point. Highest number of points wins.
It is wholly amateur and very fast and physical..................... very physical.
Assumming game over for 8.30ish then getting back into Temple Bar / Wherever is relatively quick........ as Stadium is on northside of the river and walkable from centre of Dublin in 15-20 mins or 5-10 by bus.
As many in Dublin for Wales game then really is a great opportunity to see it.
Really is best value entertainment you will see in Dublin.
On a historical basis Croke Park was sight of Bloody Sunday Massacre where people attending a Dublin v Tipperary game were attacked with many shot dead. Michael Collins movie has a scene in it from there.
Dublin as of 5th October are All Ireland Champions plus National League winners and unbeaten in 28 games.

accommodation going crazy for these dates already so book now as most can be canceled free of charge ! , anyone know if you can just get a fixed sail and rail price from holyhead, as many ferries ask the dates and are not available yet to book . they seem to have expensive dates and cheaper ones. was under the impression you could get a sail and rail offer for a fixed price and choose the dates ?. good tip on the gaelic football be interesting to see the sport live ! .

Surely, Dublin can not be more expensive than Paris? That said, I didn't mind so much spending 7 euro for Cafe Lungo after we beat NI ... so another 1-0 will be fine by me ;-) As per accommodation,The official YHA hostel still has ONE double room available for 52 euro including breakfast. They has THREE more beds left in their 6-bed dorm (18euro) and a further 14 beds in their bigger dorms (16e). Book on the official website asap - 8% payment upfront. You may cancel up until 6pm a day prior to arrival. Remainder 92% only gets charged in March - so hopefully pound will recover by then: www.hihostels.com/hostels/dublin-international-yha#price

If you are fast, there are still spaces on the Cardiff to Anglesey flight for only £20!! Two departures a day even on match day. You can depart CF 0730 arrive Anglesey 0835 Then use Irish Ferries (£31 each way still - or half that if you use Tesco points!) Dept Holyhead 1150 arrive Dublin 1340
No flights back on Weekend, and I also noticed that the 2am sailing back no longer takes bookings, but i imagine you can just join someone else's car?

I see from hostelbookers.com and hostels.com that now even the 12-bed and 18-bed dorms are over 30 to 40 euros! You can do a lot worse than the official YHA hostel, which is about 1km North of O'Connell Street. They have the last three beds still available in 6-bed dorm (€18) As well as 8 more beds in 8-bed dorm (€16) Add €3.50 if not a member. You can book it with a mere 8% upfront deposit www.hihostels.com/hostels/dublin-international-yha#price

When registering on the FAI website, I simply gave all my genuine details including Cardiff address. I can't imagine that being a problem. It certainly accepted me as a member last year! SIGN UP HERE (just enter your email in the last box and click enter) - oss.ticketmaster.com/aps/fai/EN/account/login Note that the NORTH STAND is the away stand, but it appears that TicketMaster turns the stadium interactive by 90 degrees! So keep the map below as your guide. The official AWAY ALLOCATION will be stands 129 through to 141. NOTE - there is no mistake in the image - The North Stand is very narrow and only has the one tier! The lower half of this away allocation tier is exposed to the rain ;-( You will do well to log bang on 11am on Monday and try and get stands 101 or 128, which are both CAT1 (€90??) Can imagine Stands 301 and 331 are CAT3 package for €50
