Didn't think about money .. der... so can you use cash card?
Any irish lads have advice? Did they use Ulster bank debit cards?? Or similar while out there???

They will only accept Euros or Dollars to exchange for Lei .... there are some cashpoint machines in Chisinau I believe .

Think Northern Irish and Scottish pounds might be a tad more difficult to exchange ... like 99% more difficult I am sure that Romanian leu are widely accepted at 4 to 1 and for those going to Narnia ... Russian rouble will be grand (maybe even lei, in some places) |

Anyone staying in hotel cosmos they have an exchange point in the hotel and is also an atm right round the corner from it (used it during our visit and was no hassle using my Ulster bank debit card)
Also loads of places to exchange money on the street between hotel chisnua and hotel cosmos
Over the course if the 3 days I was there I changed around €200 for hotel and food and drink and thst was too much I was able to exchange about 500 lei before coming home and also gave the staff in cosmos hotel a nice tip

We did majority of our drinking in that area the beer house isn't far from hotel chisnau. Jack's bar beside cosmos hotel is another place we drank which is just at the bottom of the street from hotel chisnau. Is a few nightclubs/ karaoke bars in the area too |

Im going to just use my bank card to take out £150 worth of Moldovan Lei at the airport when I arrive. Most people who have been before state that £100/150 would do 3 days. Current ish rate for £100 is 2300 Moldovan Lei.

Its very easy to buy tickets FMF online anyway plus they e-mail them back to you ..... to quote Alexsandr Orlov it's " simples " !!
To be honest Moldova should have kept blocks 18 & 38 back until last , that way when the stadium doesn't sell out Wales would have had more tickets . As it is now the game will not sell out but Wales will get no more tickets due to the randomness of the empty seats !

Useful link I found on trip advisor www.airport.md/other-services-en/It lets you know where the ATM's are for those of us that will be drawing out cash on arrival. Intrigued to see they offer a 'bread and salt' meet and greet service. |

Just had an email from blueair stating a change to flight time from Liverpool to Bucharest on Sunday 3rd Sept from 9:25am to 1:05am. Makes attending the Austria home game impossible which I'm gutted about but as accommodation and transfers are already booked I've got little alternative other than to miss it. At least I get to watch Wrexham instead and can watch the Austria game on TV but would prefer to be at CCS for what will bea great atmosphere! Just a heads up for any other Welsh fans on the flight out at that time.

Going Cardiff to Dublin 7am Sunday morning 5 hour wait in dublin then Dublin to Chisinau arrive about 17.30 going to be rough getting on that 7am flight with a hangover after hopefully beating Austria!!
