FAI press release was: 986 tickets sold for Moldova 642 tickets sold for Belgrade They are going to Tbilisi in early September - with it being a Saturday before school starts, they may well have 600-700 out there. The Oeirish are campaign hardened and they dont relay on their Green Wall for qualifications, as they have their luck ;-))

2000 interested is fantastic. If we could secure 1300+200 VIP that would be a great start. The Irish were granted that, and our match is a Tuesday night...

He is arguably the biggest "name" in this group. Moldova is a very poor country so their fans may pick and choose their games.

Has anyone got any idea when the tickets will be official on sale. I'm off on my summer holiday later today and I had problems trying to buy Austria tickets online when i was abroad as the payment wouldn't go through. Ended up costing me a small fortune on the phone.

Ended up costing me a small fortune on the phone. We should know more on Thursday as per vandenhauwe's post. Are you travelling to the EU? I believe roaming charges have been scrapped so will not cost as much. Some providers (e.g. Vodafone and 3) also provide services in non EU countries. Best check with your provider.

Thanks- I'll keep a look out on Thursday. I will be in the EU but the ticketline number is a premium rate one, so calling that from abroad and on a mobile cost nearly as much as the ticket.
I don't expect to be the only one in the same situation this time with tickets being on sale in the middle of school summer holidays.

Around 2,000 have specified and interest in the survey so it's wait and see time now .

I'm sure manulike posted England received 1800 tickets so precedent already set

few years ago this would probably be enough, but like vandenhauwe says its the bale factor, on welsh support as well, bale has been a massive reason for our success and bigger support

Don't give up the ghost yet as more tickets is a possibility. Also the home tickets have not gone on sale yet so might be able to nab yourself a hospitality ticket for a couple of quid...

If you watch the highlights from when England last went there, they had loads in the Moldovan end.

After game as walk towards city centre there is a McDonalds about 5 mins from the ground, yeah maybe not everybodys choice but least you know because it's McD's the food will be to a decent standard. Least you have a chance to eat something before having a beer.
Had a decent chat with a Moldovan who goes to Tirasapol to watch football all the time, coming out after food the najority of fans were gone but road still busy with Taxis and I and others caught them easily.

For those of you that fancy the old glamour of the Soviet Union, Hotel Chisinau promises to be: "just like visiting your granny, not modern, but clean, warm and relaxing."
No more availability on Booking.com etc. but you can email them your dates directly, and they even offer a 15% discount for booking with them directly - chisinau-hotel.md/en/ The Cosmos (my one) also seems to be fully booked Enjoy Larissa in this video ;-)
