What I have seen of the first 45', Nathan is on fire and the entire team keep on seeking him out! Just made the second goal by a great run down the line and dribble into the pen area.
#JustGiveTheBallToBroady Must make our 28-man squad. SURELY!
Mitch Clark playing well also. Had a decent shot on goal and a couple of crosses into the box.

I think he will get called up, was called up last year and has only improved since then. Think he has more quality than someone like Matondo

Why would Page want ‘a perfect excuse to ignore Collins Mullin and Bradshaw’? And even if he did, why would Broadhead being an in-form young striker resulting in him being selected instead be bad news enough for you to ‘hope you’re wrong’.? |

I suspect there will be two new forwards in the squad with 4 or 5 competing for those spots, and a reasonable case can be made for each one. Personally, I would go with Bradshaw and Broadhead as Collins has dipped at just the wrong time and I think they've all got a stronger case than Mullin. But I wouldn’t mind if Page does opt for others. One thing's for certain though, no matter who he does go for the moaners will be out in force complaining about the one or two missing out!

I'd agree Broadhead looks to be in good form and Collins petering out somewhat.
However, given Broadhead won't be getting any minutes anyway and he's been selected previously think it's definitely worth a look at Page taking a closer look at Collins in training to see what he's about.
Seems a good opportunity than ever to strategically cast the net out.

Because (coincidentally or not) we hardly see Page select players past their mid 20s. Broadhead’s modest goal return (compared to others) combined with his age probably gives him an edge in terms of selection and that’s a place that won’t go to a more prolific player. In other words, most on here arguing for a call up for Bradshaw, Mullin or Collins (or all three) as they are the most prolific strikers available. But I still wouldn’t be surprised to see Page continue to prioritise players based on age profile over form whenever possible. |

But that’s as much down to the team as him when you look at the teams that Barton was selecting, plus the alleged internal politics. Rovers went about 5 games without scoring a goal full stop so that points to something fundamentally wrong elsewhere.

As you said nice to see his passion. Sometimes passion and 100% commitment can massively bridge the quality gap, albeit his predator run and finish was top notch and showed the instinct of a striker which we badly lack!

Just good to have options! Puts a little bit of pressure on those first teamers too so can only be a good thing
I hope Dan James gets back to his best, firstly because he seems like a great lad who always gives everything, particularly for Wales! He was our consistently best player for 2 years

I've watched the goal back a few times this morning and his anticipation and movement are first class - on his toes waiting for the ball and swift and decisive when it dropped, defender had no chance. I can't imagine Bradshaw, Tyler Roberts or, dare I say, Brennan Johnson scoring a goal like this.
