I've watched the goal back a few times this morning and his anticipation and movement are first class - on his toes waiting for the ball and swift and decisive when it dropped, defender had no chance. I can't imagine Bradshaw, Tyler Roberts or, dare I say, Brennan Johnson scoring a goal like this. Bradshaw had already made a movement into the six yard box anticipating any cross from Broadhead or to tap the ball in should the keeper save it so I think it's a bit harsh to question his poacher's instincts But you're right, good goal from Broadhead and there's a fair few of our forwards that I can't imagine scoring the same goal

If anything falls at the back stick he's there, he's anticipated Broadhead's anticipation. I just think both of them need to be on the pitch against a deep sitting Latvia team

So in terms of memorable debut goals we've had Woodburn vs Austria (H), and now Broadhead vs Croatia (A)
I've had to remind myself that Moore vs Slovakia (A), James vs Slovakia (H), C.Roberts vs Ireland (H) and Neco vs Bulgaria (H) weren't actually debuts. But all did score on their first starts
For those older than me, do you remember any other notable debut goals?

Mark Hughes on his debut getting the winner against England wasn't bad! www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/54465076

Scored again as Ipswich look like taking another step closer to promotion Great to see he'll be playing Chs'p football next season. Real talent if he stays injury free. Also missed a second half penalty tonight😁

Ipswich are on the ascendancy now, I can see them pushing for the play offs next season, a bit like Sunderland this season. They've got goals in them all over the pitch and a really good manager.

15 minutes of added time in the second half!!
5pm on a Sunday with game finishing at 7:04pm. If we're generous and say that you leave at 7:11pm, then you won't get back to Ipswich until 2:27am on the train network.
While there will be coaches, it's increasingly becoming laughable with football telling fans of need to be green and then putting on games where the only option is to drive because that's what the TV companies are asking for.
P.S. Possibly the wrong forum for this complaint with gogs experienced in late night travel for football games.

Again without wishing to go off topic the times I have driven up the A470 / 483 after a night game at Cardiff it's nigh on impossible to get a cup of coffee at that time of night let alone somewhere to charge your EV.

Goal and assist for Broady so far away at Sunderland When I first read your post I thought that's a bit strange, but, yes I guess it is a long trip from Ipswich to Sunderland. The beauty of punctuation...

Another goal today, wouldn’t be surprised if he starts in Riga

When I watch him he reminds me a bit of Jarrod Bowen, everything looks a bit scrappy but he doesn't give in and makes things happen.

Still scoring consistently at the top of the championship. Has grown into a tidy player since he left Everton

Agreed, I would say the perfect backup from Brennan if it wasn't for the fact we have found a system that works that Brennan doesn't naturally fit into.

Brooks, Wilson, DJ, Brennan, Ramsey, Broadhead - all of a sudden we're spoilt for choice in those two 10 positions

I can see Broadhead playing up top, he's more physical than the other 10s listed and decent in the air

Brooks, Wilson, DJ, Brennan, Ramsey, Broadhead - all of a sudden we're spoilt for choice in those two 10 positions We need another younger Kieffer Mawr to break through really Not too many nations in world football have a Kieffer Mawr, and I'm not even being facetious Erling Haaland (6'5) in a league of his own really Tammy Abraham (6'5) a fairly mobile ST who would be a nailed starter in most national teams Alexander Sorloth (6'5) anyone want to play against Norway with two 6'5 strikers who are both relatively quick?! Then there's a few mobile forwards who are 6'4 - Isak, Thuram, Poulsen, Sesko, Beto. I'd say none of them function as "target men" despite being tall. Wout Weghorst is 6'6 but quite slow and lumbering, as is Sasa Kalajdzic at 6'7 (who didn't look that good against us in the playoff). And that's it really for tall international forwards In our own player pool there is Marcus Dackers of Salford City who is a 6'7 striker, only 19 years old, on loan at Woking in the National League with 3 goals in 20 games this season. He's at a better level than Kieffer was at his age I'm sure, but I don't think we're expecting him to be quite that good. He's the only one who could be our next "Kieffer" though!

It really hits home how lucky we are to have him, he is the missing cog we’d been missing since Hartson really, though he’s got better footwork than JH. Imo we’ll have another drop off in performance when he retires, similar in situation (though obviously not in style) to Bale’s retirement.

The player of this kind that sticks in my mind is Kevin Francis of Stockport. (Obviously not Welsh) but used to scare defenders to death with his height, and was surprisingly mobile.
