Hi I know we discuss Joe Taylor's status a lot, and obviously Feeney has just switched but I've noticed a few other dual nationals who don't seem to be in our squads, some of whom are playing really well. Could someone update me on the status of these players: Cameron Byrne-Hughes (Man United) Joe Belmont (Brighton) Tom Hill (Liverpool) Jadan Raymond (Crystal Palace) Callum Osmand (Fulham) Luca Picotto (Fulham) Omari Benjamin (Everton) William Andipayan (Spurs) Thierry Katsukunya (Aston Villa) Thanks. Picotto and Osmand not eligible (due to change in channel islander rules). Our 2006s are stacked up top, hence Belmont not being involved, also had injuries fairly recently. Raymond injury prone unfortunately - hence limited involvement. Tom Hill has had involvement fairly recently too. Still in club u21s football at 22yo doesn’t bode particularly well. Fair few 2005s in the post, all awkwardly in between ages. These should reappear in the next u21s cycle I reckon. Byrne-Hughes a new name for me, I must admit.

Not sure about the status of all of these but we need to remember that just because these players are dual-qualified (or treble or quadruple qualified in some cases) if doesn’t mean that they’ll all be queuing up to play for Wales. The FAW have done a great job in identifying players who are eligible for us, but that also means that some won’t be interested. If you look throughout all ages groups(including the senior team) there is a huge amount of dual-qualified players who have definitely committed to us. In regards to your post, the reality is that some of these will end up playing for us and some, but even if all 9 of the players listed here don’t end up playing for us, it will be a drop in the ocean compared to the ones who are playing for us. In cases like this, we’ve just got to accept a ‘win some-lose some’ situation. walesplayers.uk/index.php?id=82players listed above have come from research online (from welshwonderkids / dragonsoccer and posted on the wales players web site) and info passed onwards onto the FAW

William Andipayan (Spurs) Thierry Katsukunya (Aston Villa) - also plays at U19 in the UEFA Youth league
both now part of their U21 club squads, without checking few starts here and there this season
Katsukunya also plays at U19 in the UEFA Youth league, has been part of the Villa 1st team squad once this season

No stream for this one Cruz, Bostock & Myles too old for Wales U17s (players born 2008+) would expect them to be in the U19 squad for the UEFA qualifiers next week

Looks like the U17 match is playing out like a basketball score ... Losing 3-4 at the moment ... Only familiar with Luis Gardner, Louie Bradbury, Ollie Dewsbury and Charlie Street.
Anyone else familiar with this set-up / special prospects?

Is Cisse's son in this squad? Prince Kobe Cisse? Yes. An unused sub so far. Any good? Google says a FW for Liverpool U18 played in 3 games (137') and no goals/assists so far?

Wales U17s squad from previous squads (for various reasons) missing players like
Eddie Ellis-Robinson (Fulham), Jayden Lienou (Manchester City), Patrick Mlynarski (Crewe), Pablo Lopez Vangeli (Real Valladolid) and Rob Tankiewicz (Cardiff), Will Russon (Coventry)

Is Lopez Vaneli due to not having Uk passport? I was always a bit sceptical over that one. Lienou injured?

Lienou was on standby for the Wales U17 October 2024 squad, not sure on any injury since then

I am sure the u19s have played both Scotland and France (2006 age group) in recent seasons as well France friendlies and beat Scotland, tough matches, match vs Scotland 1st up , like the U17 group must get a positive result
Top 2 go thru to the Elite Round, about time this age group made the next stage and the usual 1 nation (best 3rd place)

Wayne Hatswell is the Under 17 head coach - a centre back in his playing days - conceded 8 goals in two matches so far ! Who’s choice is it to identify and ultimately employ these people ? dave Adams and @noel Mooney are really doing there best to make us the laughing stock at youth level - and let’s not forget the Under 21 shambles last month !!

Diolch! Any reasons given for Charlie Crew and Iwan Morgan not being in the squad? Was just about the ask the exact same question ;-) I imagine that Charlie is on the senior stand-by list? Hope Iwan is not injured? - his S4C program a couple of months ago was very encouraging.

No info to publish on Charlie as of yet
Iwan is fit, started and played earlier in the week, looks like other players ahead of him in the wales u19 setup (was not in the squad last month earlier)
