Fair play to Toshack for going. I noticed Ledley, Gabbidon and a couple of others taking the piss out of Tosh on twitter earlier. He doesn't deserve that.

Thats really pathetic, hes gone now get over it. Its really sad that the current climate has actually made me look on Tosh's reign with fondness as we have got worse since! (I dont know how thats possible)

Toshack can't let go! Seriously though, nice to see him out supporting the youngsters. Yes, fair play to John. Im glad to hear it as although it did not end well at least he still shows some interest and in the young uns to boot. This is good to hear as it sounds like Tosh did not put his all into the training sessions by the sound of recent rumours. Its beginning to sound like his stint as Wales boss was a retirement plan, so its good to hear that he does actually take Welsh football seriously.

Where do they play? I imagine Andorra is still a bit of a trek from sociedad or wherever Tosh resides. Fair play to him I say - I imagine it's more of a trek than say London or Manchester to Cardiff / Wwrexham for some of our other ex players and managers to go and watch the u21s. Can't find Sociedad on the map!

Real Sociedad is based in San Sebastian, about 184 miles drive to Andorra. Nice to see he's watching Welsh players. Pity he didn't do that when he was Wales manager.

I've never seen anything to suggest Toshack had anything less than 100% commitment to the job. Certainly you could tell he gave a sh*t by the way we used to emerge much better in the second half in many games - obviously he had been ripping into the players at half-time. Bear in mind, a lot of players and various sections of the media do not like Toshack because he was often brutally honest (sometimes harsh) about certain players. There are plenty of people wo don't like Toshack out there. What I would say is that I have never seen any reason to doubt his passion, even if his persistence with the 5 at the back was infuriating and he was often way too rigid with our playing style.

You can't doubt his passion when he is stood on the touchline screaming till he is red in the face at players, you don't do that unless you are passionate and commited.

lets face it, he didn't need a 'retirement plan'. he had many flaws, bit i personally dont doubt that he took the job for the right reasons.

Wasn't that due to tax issues and that he was only allowed to reside in the UK for a certain amount of days each year. The FAW knew this when they appointed him in 2004, so you can't really blame Toshack. Incidentally Yorath was based in Leeds and Gould was based in Portishead. I know that cos the silly t**t used to complain that the signs were regularly nicked "cos of some pop group who share the same name."

Has Speed moved to Wales then? Does he commute from mainland Europe? Well no he doesn't but it's irrelevant to Idiot's point which is about the manager moving to the UK, or even Wales. Whether they do it from New Zealand, Spain or Shrewsbury is not the point here. That it appears to be another stick with which to bash Tosh is entirely coincidental of course

Frankly where they live is unimportant. I think we can all agree that it's immaterial where they live, the important thing is that they watch the players regularly to gauge how their playing and what positions etc., which is even more important for young players eg. Bale's progression from FB to wing. Also very important to watch the championship players as the prems walk into the squad but there's always a debate about the extra eg Dorman or Crofts. If you can watch all players at every opportunity then it doesn't matter where you live.

That it appears to be another stick with which to bash Tosh is entirely coincidental of course It is relevant when they dont watch the games and have no idea where our players play- or even if they are playing ("alright Danny lad, been playing for Sunderland then?..........Where?" ;D ). Of course thats not to say that Tosh would have been present at games if he had been living in the UK but it makes it more likely. And we dont need any sticks to beat Tosh with, he was rather masochistic like that.

Not sure about the strikers - Chamberlain can't get into the Stockport team- apart from if he's injured or not at Stockport anymore. Would not be first time for injured players to be put in the squad.Taylor also on loan at Exeter not Aldershot. Also strange for Kayleden Brown and Peniket not to be on stand-by when Meades and Reece Jones are despite cannot get on the bench for their clubs. Also is Morris at Aldershot still eligible as he's playing well.

No Nat Jarvis despite him scoring a couple for Newport. Bradshaw will almost certainly start. Ok, he's only at league 2 shrewsbury but he's been looked at by bigger clubs and almost certainly will be playing at a higher level soon.

Compare Jake Cassidy a Wolves reserves regular with a squad number with Chamberlain ,no Leicester squad number and been on loan at Stockport. Also is Ogleby really better than Jarvis/Farah at Cardiff and Brown at WBA ? Jarvis seems to have been lost now anyway now - despite even being a welsh speaker .

Church did the same at crewe and wycombe and Vokes developed well at bournemouth and then got signed by Wolves.

0 0 ht Cracking game despite the score. Playing some great football, all we need is the final ball. One tremendous shot on the volley by Lucas deserved better.
Flynn has got them playing very well as a unit. All players are comfortable on the ball.
Pity about the sparse crowd.
2nd half started.
