if selected, as per normal the player/club would have already told of call up before today's goal

Certainly started the season well. Already this is now his best Championship goalscoring season and we are not even in September!

4 in 4 now! Looping header. Must start! knocking on the door now for sure its great having players actually playing for their clubs and in form in the Welsh squad, and with a new manager who knows he could be the no.9 can see him getting game time during these games probably off the bench hope he impresses, good luck to the lad

Yeah wouldn't be surprised at all to see him start. Fits the Bellamy profile perfectly, in great form, and would certainly set the tempo with his pressing

I think he'll start. I'm expecting a front three of Harris, Matondo and Brennan.

Looks at the goals he's scoring too. A real good mixture.

According to Mr dragonsoccer article a German team is after him.
His best decision ever was to leave Cardiff City.

What a turnaround for him, this move to Oxford appears to be just what he needed to get his career properly on track, a lesson to a lot of young players.

www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c23l2394g4yoA Cardiff academy product, Harris was still with the Bluebirds when he was last involved with Wales two years ago. But having been restricted to a bit-part role in the Welsh capital, he turned down the offer of a new deal to drop down a division with Oxford. "I wanted to prove myself and becoming the starting number nine for a team," he said. "It had been tough at Cardiff - sometimes playing, sometimes not, not knowing what position I was going to be playing in. "I wanted to reignite my career, play games, establish myself as a proper number nine and show what I can do." --- Take note Rubin and most of the Cardiff lads. Captain of your own fate. Look at Mark went down a level. Established himself as an out an out number 9 which he wasn't getting at Cardiff and playing regular 90 minutes week in week out. You can't beat it.

At the right club and under the right boss. Terry Taylor, albeit with injuries, went to Charlton from Burton as means to progress but one manager change later and his career has temporarily stalled.

Whilst on the subject of Oxford United did anyone else notice the very clever take on the Welsh flag at their game last week.
White at the top, green at the bottom but instead of a red dragon it had a red bull.
I presume it would be Gareth who is a big Oxford fan who used to follow Wales back in the day.

Ah that’s brought back memories of being on the coach to the Lokomotiv Moscow stadium in 2003 with an Oxford contingent, they brought decent numbers. They were a good crack, passing round the vodka which, considering we were on the roads in Moscow, added an extra dimension to the prospect of being caught 😂 I assume he must have been part of that lot as I can’t imagine there are too many Welsh Oxford United factions!

From memory there was Gareth, his girlfriend Amanda, both Welsh but from Oxford and they used to knock about with a lad called John, again Welsh but from Birmingham. Can't recall if they were in our hotel for that trip, we were in the one that was one of the Stalin Architecture Inspired buildings as where as a lot of people were in another huge hotel which if my memory serves me right a load of local fans attacked prior to the game. Probably the coldest I have ever been at a football match!

Yeah that must have been them- I recall there was a girl with them (and again without being sexist the amount of Welsh/Oxford female fans must be slim) and of course the coach travel was linked to what hotel you were in and I/they were in the Ukraina, as it sounds like you were. The Rossiya was the other hotel for Wales fans, the one that got stormed on the day of the game. The Ukraina was spectacular (it was one of Stalin’s ‘seven sister’ Sky scrapers) until you got into your room where it suddenly turned into bloody borstal. Never mind the match- they only gave us wafer thin sheets and no heating to help us survive a Moscow November. I think I slept in my clothes! 😂
