He's not close to being at the standard to replace Jota, or to being looked at as a regular in the Celtic side.
He's likely looking at a move in League 1, and he'll have turned down Cardiff as he'll have wanted to start more games.

Look at my comments when we played Belarus. I said how limited he was, especially given his age which signalled there was little upside and most shot me down. Seriously, I am a fan and while I understand other fans not seeing how limited players are, I do not understand how a coach / management team do not see it. I guess when the manager was very limited as a player themselves, they tend to have more sympathy than they should for the likes of a Harris, Morrell (yes I know we had little option but he is a major weakness all the good teams exploited), etc You get shot down when you make ridiculous analogies, like the one you made including Morrell and Harris in the same comment.

That’s his career in a nutshell…ultimately zero end product carrer? he is only 24. you expect to get beter as years go by, he no bale with endless talent I certainly don’t expect Harris to get any better. He will be 25 in a few months and his record is shockingly poor for a striker. There’s a reason he struggled to get games in a very poor CCFC side ( under several different managers). He was also extremely lucky to go to the World Cup. I’d guess he will end up at a league 1 or 2 club score a handful of goals in a season and that will be his limit.

I think he's the type of player that will have the same type of impact at almost all levels. He has the attributes that defenders hate where he's a pest and great at running in behind, but I can't see him being prolific at any level. I can't see him banging in 20 goals in League 1 all of a sudden, so I very much doubt he'll climb back up. That's his Wales career over imo.

He never actually got picked for a standard 23 man squad, he only ever got picked for expanded 26 or 28 (or more) man squads so will be a stretch for him to get selected now.

Huge step down and Oxford are the type of club that you can never see getting out of that league. Probably about his level but that’s definitely the end of his international career.

Yes, Oxford look a club who are shackled by the land owner refusing to sell off the ground, hence it has been three sided for so long and looks as if it will stay like it.

Quietly optimistic about Oxford. Brought in some good players into the fold. Promising young manager.
Think Mark might well surprise a few. Don't think he'll be called up soon but I wouldn't write him off completely going forward

Oxford aren't the biggest name in the division, sure, but they're a better bet than some of the bigger clubs who are in a shambles at the minute. Last season aside they've been a pretty solid top half side for about 5 years and have had a couple of playoff campaigns

Of course there's a few who are with clubs that have been promoted. Without those promotions then its unlikely that any of those would have been sought by teams playing at a higher level. I cant remember the cupboard being so bare.

It's a far better move to go to Oxford and play than sit on the bench at Blackburn even though Blackburn are a bigger name

Whichever way you look at it it’s definitely a big step down but probably about his natural level. I’d expect him to get maybe a dozen goals this season maybe.

Mark Harris breaks the 5 goals mark for the first time in his senior career tonight with a performance that saw him score from penalty spot, from open play and get an assist for Oxford's only other goal.
There's a player in him but this is a big season for him.

Mark Harris' name had sunk to page 6 of the Apostle forum but, having previously achieved his best goal-scoring season ever with a double in the Football League Trophy waaay back in September, he had scored today to achieve his best ever league scoring season too.
4 League goals now and 7 in total for the season.
I'm only posting this because anyone who has seen his goals will know how capable a finisher he is and how remarkable this record, now broken, has been for him. Keep going lad.

I don't imagine this will be a popular thing to say, but Harris is having a very decent season with Oxford - just scored his 10th goal of the season. He's 4 years younger than Mullin and a year younger than Will Evans...

I'm fully onboard with the idea of him finding a way back into the fold. I thought his finishing for both Cardiff and Wales was largely atrocious but it seems, like most players, he just needs to play regularly to find his feet. If this form becomes the norm then he becomes hard to ignore. He definitely needed to step down at that point in his career to get everything going.
