Norton could be the one tbf, seems a natural 9 Norton, Isaak Davies (according to Walesonline) and Jephcott in the u21’s. Not sure about the rest. Not sure if anyone knows anything about that young striker at Liverpool, Iwan Roberts? Or even younger, Omari Benjamin at Arsenal? I remember at youth level I thought Tyler would be the answer, then Rabbi after him. It seems like we’ve been waiting for a quality striker to come through forever!

I watched some of the u18 game against England last week where Iwan Roberts and Luke Harries played up front. The latter looked a real prospect and was probably our best player (alongside our keeper). He scored a great goal with an excellent first touch and finish, and was lively throughout. Just read up on him, he's only 16 and has been fast-tracked into Fulham's u23s. One to watch. Our first half keeper was also brilliant against England, can't remember his name now.

Starting Harris would be a joke in my opinion, he did OK with a couple of runs but missed a sitter at the end which almost cost us our qualifying hopes.
Which one of the following would you start him ahead of
Wilson Bale James Roberts
People get carried away to easily, look at Colwill
That being said I think Page might play him and any striker with James and Bale either side would have a decent chance of scoring against Estonia

Did his finish almost cost our qualifying hopes or did his movement actually save our qualifying hopes? Glass half full/half empty there
I agree he wasn't massively exciting but I do feel he gave us more structure, and more importantly gave a platform for others to play

We piss around with throwing attacking midfielders up there to their detriment and to the team's detriment. Moore showed us why you need a striker and so did Harris (to a lesser extent obviously) when he came on against Belarus. He may have missed his chance but he ensured we kept the ball and laid it off to James, and would someone like Roberts/Colwill/Wilson have even made the run Harris did? I'm not so sure. Harris lacks the skills of Tyler Roberts and is a worse player, but I'd argue he is more effective as a striker than Tyler

I'm thinking that Cardiff definitely need a new manager to make the most out of these talented young players. Next move has to be a relatively progressive one, otherwise these youngsters are going to get too used to a poor style of play

Should have done better with his chance last night, maybe he didn't see or hear Sorba behind him but if you are going to take it and shoot you have to do a lot better than that.

I don't quite understand why he seems to have overtaken Colwill, when Page took Colwill to the Euro's and was raving about him.
Would have personally brought on Johnson instead when we had to make the sub.

In 5 years time Johnson will be a better player than Harris, you can't be an attacking midfielder and lack finishing ability.

Pulis got Palace playing decent enough football 8 years ago or so, he has it in him. That said we know what he also has in him and I don't think with where Cardiff are he'd be a particularly good manager for a number of those players. Managers like Mick and Pulis just see Kieffer and the big centre backs and everything else around them just goes blurry.

Harris is an actual striker so he's obviously 2nd behind Kieffer now for that reason. A lot of people have rightly complained that we were playing the false 9 too much & I'd agree. Harris wasn't great yesterday, but he made a really good impact in his first few appearances so you can't complain really. The fact he even carved out a decent chance for himself is a positive, if he scores that we look back on his impact so far and say "he's been really useful"
If he can become a good solid finisher he will be very useful as a late sub
I'd have personally brought on Johnson for James who was having a very poor game, and brought on Tyler as a number 10

Did he get a shout and not hear it? Or ignore it? Either way even though he had to adjust his body in a way that meant he couldn’t get a good strike on the ball (as Thomas would have as he was running on to it) his actual shot was really poor, scuffed straight at the keeper. I’m really pleased for him that we were already 1 up because otherwise he’d be getting some flak he could do without. He has caused problems in general in his limited time on the pitch but on the evidence yesterday you can see why goals aren’t a strong point and sadly we really need someone who can just stick the bloody thing in the net.

Apologies I mixed up Harris with Brennan. I was thinking of the Brennan chance where he ran down the right and skied one when I wrote that

Harris credited with making the difference as Cardiff fought back from 3 down to earn a draw. Scored and had another disallowed.

Have been critical of his goalscoring threat on Wales' duty
but that was encouraging today .... two very composed and accurate finishes!

This is an odd one: Harris has been linked with St Pauli James Lawrence plays for them and they are top of the Bundesliga 2. That would be a good move, but he is getting plenty of playing time with Cardiff.

Could/should have had a hatrick today. 1 good finish, unlucky with the shot tip over but should have scored the 1 on 1 at the end
