Yes, a very well done to Swansea City today! Maybe we should have looked into getting Carvalhal! Happy New Year Swans 😀 Carvalhal was a very average player and has only previously managed in tin pot leagues. We all know that the only type of person that could possibly manage Wales now is one that inspires players by having won the Champions League as a player and have gained coaching experience as a Trainee Assistant Manager by them to fifth in the league. PS: Well done Swans! Why that almost sounds like a ringing endorsement of Giggs..

What exactly is happening at Swansea? But reading this if true its an absolutely disgraceful way to run a club & treat the Supporters Trust. These characters like that Rob Davies & Huw Jenkins have certainly made some serious money for selling out. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42536039

Consecutive victories against Liverpool and Arsenal...dont think anyone saw that coming! Very impressive performance from the Swans. If anything, the 3-1 flatters Arsenal, as it could easily have been 5 or 6! The team spirit and the energy levels in both those games was quite spectacular. Well done!

Mixed feelings watching the game. I want Swansea to stay up but it was difficult to root for them when they had no welsh players in the 18 and the opposition had one of our key players in theirs. It was also disappointing because Ramsey had a poor game and Wilshere, who's in really good form, missed it through illness. This doesn't help Ramsey's cause at all.

Ramsey wasn't great - but he did make a superb last-ditch tackle to prevent Swansea taking the lead early doors, as well as produce a sublime flick in the second half that created a good opening. Ramsey, like Allen, and like most professional footballers for that matter, needs a run of games to get back to full speed. I'm just glad that his first game back came against Swansea.
It is frustrating that Swansea have no Welshmen in their squad - but if you look at their academy age grade teams the U18s (top half of their league) usually have a majority of Welshmen and the U23s typcially field about 5 Welshmen in the starting line-up. Swansea are giving Welsh players plenty of opportunity to succeed, it's just up to those players to prove they have the ability and application to make it. Joe Rodon going on loan to Cheltenham will hopefully be the first step on the ladder to Premier League success.

Went down the Liberty last night, Swansea were excellent, hes done a great job since coming in, Swansea deserved the victory and could have been more. Desperately hope they stay up! But would love to see more Welshmen in the side.

Great shout, was discussing this with my mate last night at the game, think it would be a good move for both parties. Agree completely. Think he suits the Swansea Way down to a T. As an Arsenal fan, I feel we got off lightly yesterday. The Swans are flying high again

I'm pleased for Swansea that they are doing well as it's always great to have a Welsh team in the premier league (it's been a long time coming). My only regret is that they had to succeed at the expense of a team that I support!!! 😕

With Mahrez out of the team tomorrow Swansea stand a good chance of picking up more points against Leicester.

That's got to go to Pep Guardiola. Man City are in with a shout of four trophies and are running away with the title this season. There's been dominant sides but this is something else this season.

What Sean Dyche is doing at Burnley is also a miracle.

Any manager who have spent all that money in the transfer market should be in contention for all them trophies as a minimum.

How could Glenn Roeder sign those players, manage their egos and turn them in to a winning team without having some nous?

How could Glenn Roeder sign those players, manage their egos and turn them in to a winning team without having some nous? I have far more respect for managers who actually don't turn to the checkbook all the time and paying excessive transfer fees and wages. I'm sure Roeder would not encourage his players to roll about acting as if they had been hit by a steamroller all the time. I think you must be a Man City band Waggoner supporter?

You think very wrong. Pep’s one of the best in the business and City are playing sublime stuff. I’ve always liked his teams. Look at the mediocre job Ancelotti did with Bayern Munich in comparison.
No manager will create a dominant club side without money.

If Guardiola went to let's say Port Vale would he turn that club around without millions of pounds of cash?
Doubt it
For me - manager of the year is Paul Hurst at Shrewsbury Town - doing an incredible job at Montgomery Waters Meadow, top of League One ahead of Wigan & Blackburn without any decent money to spend - his transfer buys have been top class!!!

Neither of us can disprove each other here because we have little evidence. In my favour, lots of great managers started from scratch. Alex Ferguson for one.

Thought it was about time we heard from Swans fans as the other clubs are getting plenty of posts on here.
It's tight at the bottom of the PL, but they seemed to have made themselves much harder to beat in recent weeks. The good thing is there are loads of teams around them. Will the Swans be able to avoid the drop?
Roberts on the bench again today.

Not a Swan, but certainly enjoy seeing them play. Should have taken all 3 points today. Playing well and with huge heart. There will be a derby next year :+)

King badly at fault for the goal conceded yesterday. The pass was 'punched' into him but any decent cm would have controlled it. Instead it bounced some 3 metres off his shin and chelsea break and score. It epitomised for me why I don't think king is good enough - he doesn't have the technique for the short, sharp passing game both giggs and swansea want to play.
I can't understand why he's been starting so much for swans over these last couple of months. It might not be a complete coincidence that it's coincided with a really poor run of form

Getting a little worrying for the Swans. Though fortunately facing Stoke and Southampton at home in last two games is great (if they can get results against them)
