They have been awful recently.. probably missing Brooksy Hope he hasn't been brought back too soon and that this injury won't turn out to be serious!

Must admit that Brooksy showed a different side to his game today that I haven't seen before. Consistent closing down and a fair amount of defensive tackles. Its the side of the game that I really rate Wilson and Woodburn for, but now also young David ;-)
Meps had a very decent match. Not faultless - but really improved a lot in last two weeks ;-)

No attempts at goal (on or off !!).
How often does that happen, especially at home?

I imagine he has a major release clause put in there and a very large salary

A great run to create the first goal.
EDIT Taken off, with what looks like a slight calf strain, after 65'

Relax. Howe has said Brooks was subbed due to fatigue not an injury.
Phew.

OFF INJURED ;-(((
... Or maybe not? A long 15 minute break to assess it...
EDIT BACK ON AGAIN ;+)))))))
Played til the end and looked OK. Meps was not all that great ... Jury is still out on him, for me. The Blond Geordie did really well today.

According to the Beeb.
"David Brooks is being helped off the field by the Bournemouth physio. The 21-year-old is trying to make it through to half-time but still looks in some discomfort."

Think he will be vital for us this campaign as he could get plenty of space if opponents double up on Bale

He now plays in the no 10 role. Same as Ramsey.
Will he be played out wide for Wales?
Or have Ramsey as DM (which he doesn't play well in).

Quite a rise to the top (ish) considering he was only a sub for Sheffield a season ago.
Are the awards based on performances for country, or also clubs??

With Roberts and Davies as wing backs, they offer enough going forward, and Dummett is in good form at the moment.

Wilson will come in for Dummett

I like the idea of Roberts and Davies getting forward. I'm not sure I trust Ash enough as part of a centre back pairing and Dummett impressed me against Trinidad, so I'd be inclined to go with Welshiron's team, though I'd have Davies far left with Dummett as part of the back 3.

Brooks is probably the most naturally gifted young player I've ever seen; at least on a live, consistent basis. He's been a bit off form recently though; I'd put this down to a load of different factors. 1. We're in the midst of an injury crisis at the moment; in the past two months we've been missing Lewis Cook, Andrew Surman and Dan Gosling, which has meant that Brooks has had to fill in at Centre Mid, which really doesn't suit him, as he's not quite physical enough (especially in a 2). 2. Like Ryan Fraser, opposition players have started to target Brooks, and he's been on the end of a couple of nasty tackles. Can't remember which game it was, but he came out of one game having had his ankle raked to pieces, and he's not really been the same since. 3. He tends to get fatigued quite easily, which I think is because of the glandular fever he had while he was at Sheffield Utd. EH has protected him quite well for most of the season, but recently he's played more than he probably should have. 4. We (Bournemouth) have been utter shite recently, and it's hard to look good when the whole team is playing like ass. Hopefully he's able to rediscover his form soon- there's no doubt in my mind that he'll be playing Champions League football in the next 2 years, so we're just enjoying him while we can .
