A shame Locks has been asked to take a complete rest as no way he would not be playing after Friday if he was available.
Albeit, if he had been in Keiffer's situation, Locks would have been getting a 5 match ban because he'd have given the keeper something to really be in pain with!!

Joe and Ben Davies both included in forthcoming Tottenham pre-season squad (tour matches in Asia and Australia). Important for Joe to show the new manager that he has something to offer.

Maybe he'll get a few on-pitch minutes in the opener tomorrow against West Ham in Perth, Western Australia?

Confirmed. Better outcome than expected as far as I'm concerned. Hopefully will go back to basics and regain his Swansea form. Season long loan and Liam Cooper probably out for 2 months.
Needs to take this opportunity.

Needs to take this opportunity. Yes, agreed. A (loan) move to a big club looking to bounce straight back into the Premier League is a surprisingly good conclusion for him after a period of uncertainty. I sincerely hope that Farke can coach him in many aspects of the game and also instill a confidence in him to perform at a decent level and cut out the errors and also the histrionics! He cannot be any worse than some of the CBs that Leeds have had over the last few seasons for sure! Leeds United FC has a great affinity with Welsh players, Charles, Sprake, Flynn, Speed, Matt Jones, Carl Harris, Yorath, Byron Stevenson, Vinnie Jones! (please feel free to add to the list). They have all had great careers there and hopefully Joe can perhaps cement a permanent move at the end of the season? If he starts his season there as well as Ampadu has and continues in the same vein throughout the remainder of the season, then he will be an asset to Leeds and to Wales. Good luck Joe.

Good move. I'm very confident he will rediscover his mojo. When he first burst on the scene his performances were so mature and virtually faultless, for Swansea and Cymru. He's already shown he's got it, it's just a matter of regular playing tome for him to get back in the groove.
Regarding his "histrionics" - it's only fair to point out that this is directed at himself, not his teammates, so he deserves a bit more empathy. But it would be good if he wasn't so hard on himself.

How many have we got at Leeds now? James, Rodon and Amps? For some reason I thought it was more. Maybe it was the fact that Tyler was there and Darlow is eligible for us. Either way, let’s hope Leeds go uo and bring all Three with them .

Coming in for a lot of praise from Leeds fans today. He did seem like the Joe Rodon of old today. Picked up a cut head for his troubles but didn't miss a beat. Fingers crossed this is exactly the move he needed. Looked very assured.

Liam Cooper is back and will take his place while he's suspended, could mean that he comes back from suspension on the bench and that's not a situation we need.

Most Leeds fans have Rodon as MOTM, which is some praise considering the performance of the whole team. Ampadu gets positive mentions too.

Makes such a difference to a player like Joe Rodon to be playing regularly - that is why the move to Spurs ended up being such a disaster
As well as learning from experience, I think the human condition seems to thrive off repetition, focus and routine - as an aside I note that many people of genius seem to be on the spectrum, where routine gets taken to an extreme and where sometimes obsession kicks in - not sure how much research has gone into that area but I would imagine sports science (and obviously training works upon this) try tries to capitalise on such things
Hope I am not being too hopeful here - but I think we are in a far better position than last months - Rodon, James and Wilson playing regularly, Ampadu the lynchpin at the heart of the Leeds team. Just a shame about Ward (why is he still at Leicester for goodness sake - why don't they loan him out?), Neco (thanks Cooper!), Mepham (there is a very good player in there), Moore and Brooks (Bournemouth not a great destination for Wales players by the looks of it!). However, Jordan James has played the last one or two games for his club. It will be very tough - but we have a chance of nailing those last 2 matches at least!
My only worry is Page - just hope for him and us he makes smart and timely decisions as needed

If you read between the lines of a lot of the comments from LUFC fans they appear more happy that Ayling isn't playing and they see Joe as an improvement on him rather than a stand out player.

If you read between the lines of a lot of the comments from LUFC fans they appear more happy that Ayling isn't playing and they see Joe as an improvement on him rather than a stand out player. Ayling plays at right-back and he has been replaced by young Archie Gray. I've watched every Leeds game this season and Rodon is a key player alongside Pascal Struijk. They both like to play out from the back, and together with Ampadu they form a triangle where most of the forward play originates from. The team are also very good on the counter with James, Summerville, Piroe & Rutter up top. It's actually nice football to watch, and Daniel Farke is doing a great job.

If you read between the lines of a lot of the comments from LUFC fans they appear more happy that Ayling isn't playing and they see Joe as an improvement on him rather than a stand out player. Ayling's form dropped last season and hasn't improved in the Championship unfortunately but as athanampadu mentions, although Ayling on occasion steps in to a CB role, there is no definitely no correlation between Rodon and Ayling for sure. Struyk was awful last season also but mainly as he was played out of position at left back but he seems to have formed a good, solid understanding with Rodon. I was very pleasantly surprised that we kept a clean sheet against Leicester away on Friday. All three Welsh boys are performing very well and consistently well so far under Farke. Long may it continue and a few fronts!

All three Welsh boys are performing very well and consistently well so far under Farke. Long may it continue and a few fronts! Could we play a variation of Farke-ball? We've got the full-backs, and plenty of pace and movement up front with James, Brooks, Johnson & Wilson. Also J.James to do the midfield support role that Kamara does so well. I suppose it would be down to Mepham or having another ball playing centre-back.

Some of his passing last night was different class TBF. He was excellent all round, just one mistake that I can think of, and, didn't seem to worry about his hair either!! (wrecks me when I see him repositioning his carefully positioned barnet all of the time). I had been less than impressed with him since he left the Swans but his form this season has been superb. Just wish his heading in front of goal was as good as his defensive heading! Hopefully he will keep up his form for Leeds in the run up to March.

Playing Joe on the right side of the defence worked a treat. Given his pace I would like to see us persist with that, with either Mepham or Lockyer in the centre. This would make the shuffling across to form a back 4 with the opposing wingback, when one wing back advances up the pitch, that much more dependable, as it's important to have decent pace in the wide defensive areas.
