What an assist! His technical ability is really exciting, hope he gets some senior games soon.

Him and Garner will likely start in CM, and possibly play the full 90. Levitt is definitely the highest rated of all those midfielders in that list.

What a great opportunity to make an impression and gatecrash the Euro squad.

Given a chance he could be a regular by Christmas.

I think tonight is a potentially huge game for Levitt. If he performs well he could be involved in the senior squad for the rest of the season. He could then be a definite option for us to take to the Euros as something of a wildcard.

He could then be a definite option for us to take to the Euros as something of a wildcard. Tomorrow afternoon (15:50 kickoff GMT). By the time the Euros roll around he could be a "nailed on" starting choice like Ampadu, Smith and Morrell before him. Not going to take a lot to shift the balance, none are firmly established alongside Allen. The thing about United is they don't have a quarterback-type who is going to sling passes around and in behind for all the pace they have up front to run onto. And for Wales we only really have Ben Davies putting balls down the line for DJ. At Swansea he had more variety of service for his off the ball running from Grimes, Celina and Byers. He doesn't make as many of those runs as he used to, it's a waste of energy when Fred and McTominay choose to shuffle it sideways or pass short through traffic.

I really like what I've seen of him, as if we didn't have enough talent coming through.
I really think he's got a decent chance of being involved in their first team this season when Pereira is getting games at centre mid.
This Astana test is the one he needs to get through though, seen Celtic play there a couple of times and it's not an easy place to go.

Thank you for correcting me! I’ll definitely be watching him tomorrow*. If he can get through with a good performance it could pave the way for him.

I'm very nearly becoming a United fan this season. Which would have disgusted young me. Fortunately it doesn't count as being a glory supporter these days.

Whilst this is fantastic to see, I think a few are going overboard with their predictions. This is basically a third-string u23 side, so there's nothing to suggest Levitt will actually threaten to break into the first team this season. It's not impossible, especially with solskjaer putting a lot of faith in the youth, but it's very unlikely. And unless he regularly makes the senior squad over the next six months, I can't see him making the cut for our squad, nevermind as first choice!

This is largely an U23 side yes, but even just getting a couple of games for Man. United is a big positive for a player of his age. It's similar to what Ethan Ampadu was getting at Chelsea, which is something to be excited about. People are being optimistic about him getting games is down to how weak United's midfielder, anyone watching United against Sheffield United know how weak they are in that area. He's competing ultimately against Andreas Pereira, who their fan base unanimously feel isn't up to that level. This isn't really about the next six months, he'd do remarkably well to get in the squad but this is about the next ten years, and him probably getting a debut in one of the friendlies in March.

Good first half, very controlled and hasn't put much of a foot wrong. Passings been good, generally looking to play it forward as well which is good to see. Playing pretty much in the same role as Morrell did vs Azerbaijan.

He'll have played more minutes for United than Ampadu has for Chelsea if he survives the first 5/10 minutes of the second half iirc. Matt Smith isn't playing and Joe Morrell is in League One. Making the cut for our squad in midfield isn't a difficult task.

Starting to fall apart for United, can't say Dylan's been at fault for it too much.
For the second goal he's played a good forward pass in to Greenwood's feet, who's not held the ball up properly again and they've gone down the other end and scored.
Gomes and Chong particularly poor in this second half. Bernard looks a bit out of his depth. Greenwood's done nothing, unable to hold the ba up, although his finishing is exceptional. Garner, Levitt and Laird have all done well imo.

Yeah good performance from him, regardless of the result, a lot of United fans on Twitter calling for him to be involved a lot more in the first team and i'd expect him to be involved in their next game in Europe at home to AZ.

Neither Garner nor Levitt look like they've been taught how to defend space. Think both came through u18s as 10s.
Decent but unspectacular game from Levitt. His one/two touch play is really good, he's got the picture in his head and moves the ball quickly. Think the plastic pitch put him off playing it in the air, a couple of times he checked out of putting the right back in over the top. Let down by poor touch of the United forwards far more often than he misplaced anything along the ground.
Got booked for getting fouled. Needs an extra Christmas dinner or two to bulk him up a bit.

Would love to see him getting regular game time somewhere, I think League 1 would be ideal for now.

Yes and I think a lot of League 1 championship managers will have watched that game for this very reason. There's some serious talent in that Man u youth set up. Be good if Levitt did a Joe Morell but i think he should aim for mid table championship side.

Any young Welsh player starting for Man United's first team should be celebrated regardless of the circumstances. Also Matt Smith is not playing for QPR so I wouldn't say he's a million miles away from our squad. The Man United connection won't harm his chances either.

Wasnt too long ago we would of been pinning all our hopes on him.
It is great that he is seen as one of the better young players they have and I think they will keep him there this season to work with him especially if they dont sign anyone in January.
A chance of making the 23

Man U generally don't loan young players out.
