I've seen a lot of this boy over the last few years in the UEFA Youth League, a tremendous prospect.Seems versatile too.

On the bench today, as one of five outfield substitutes on the bench, along with the other youngster Curtis Jones. Strong Liverpool side out.

Kieffer Moore won't mind playing with him.

Great first half from him.
Can he play on the left? Could then play Davies at CB and get Williams into the team.
Can see from that half that's he's got a better ball in than Davies!
As they just alluded to, he's not going to displace Alexander-Arnold.
3rd one of our promising players who has had their career stunted by Liverpool.

Neco still needs to fill out. Good signs that he’s getting named in first team squad at Liverpool. I think he’s a million miles from our Euro 2020 squad tbh I’m a millon miles off here. Very good first half. The only negative is how many first team games is he going to get between now and the Euros? Ultimately it might come down to Wales warm up games.

If Liverpool win the league with a month or two to spare, Id expect him to get a lot of game time in the run up to June.

I think we should defo play him in March. Eventually I can see him becoming our first choice ahead of Roberts so he'll defo be getting involved soon!

Why should they have any loyalty towards Welsh players

He played left wing back in the u19s last round of games. Very right-footed though.
Better end product than Connor.

Davies' quality of delivery is one of his strengths, he's hardly a neil taylor type of full back! You can hardly say Liverpool have stunted Williams' development, he's only 18 and been with Liverpool since he was 8. He looks a top quality prospect, so I'd say Liverpool have done us a solid in the way they've developed him! Having said that, he does look ready for senior football so a loan move would be brilliant for us. But I suspect Liverpool will prefer to keep him as their 2nd / 3rd choice RB for the rest of the season. A shame for us because I can't see him getting enough gametime to make a case for euros inclusion. I would be surprised, however, if he isn't our first choice right back in 2/3 years.

He'll be our first choice right back in two to three years. If he gets near to TAA's level then I would be ecstatic, so it's unlikely he'll manage to dislodge him unless TAA moves into midfield for liverpool.

If Williams does make the euros squad, I would prefer for it to be in place of taylor rather than gunter. I believe Williams is comfortable playing left back (did so recently for the u19s). You know what you're going to get with gunts, solid unspectacular displays. Taylor has too many mistakes in him and offers just as little going forward as gunter does.

Great they're at a big club like Liverpool but with not much chance for 1st team football.

I wasn't saying that they have with Williams, just that the prospects (like Harry Wilson and Danny Ward) of him breaking past TAA are (rightfully at the moment) slim. It's a shame that his talent will only get fleeting chances of 1st team football because of that... Davies is decent but the reason why Rose is picked before him at Spurs is because of the difference in attacking ability.

Try him out in March at LB, give Gunter time at RB and then let's hope Liverpool win the league by April and give Neco some more games. You never know as well, if TAA gets an injury Klopp may well be happy to trust him.

I'm not sure if he's definitely seen as second choice right back, they may prefer moving gomez or milner to cover for TAA, but he's definitely closing in on that 2nd rb spot with these performances!

With all due respect ...
... I just hope that young Neco has a massive poster of Neil Taylor on his wall and that he goes to sleep every night dreaming to one day achieve what Neil has with his national team ;-))

If there's a big game for Liverpool and TAA is injured then Williams is probably behind Fabinho, Clyne, Henderson, Milner and Gomez at this time.
However, the gap us getting closer, Clyne is leaving, and the others are better in other positions or are injured.

Gushing praise on the Pool forum. A lot reckon he should be RB backup now. "The biggest compliment he got was when Everton switched Richarlison to the opposite flank because he was getting so totally owned by this young welsh kid he probably hasn’t even heard of before tonight." "Sensational tonight. Confident on the ball beyond belief, quick to the tackle, good positional sense. He has a very, very bright future - all things which are hard to coach past this age but which he shows in abundance. Looking forward to seeing a lot more of him, tremendous game from him." www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=344407.0

Watched him play against Arsenal, but missed the Everton game the other day. After watching him against Arsenal he definitely impressed me, albeit against what was essentially an Arsenal youth team.
What’s so pleasing about this recent performance was that it was against a near full strength Everton side, who have been going quite well over the last month or so. All the reports suggest that he did really well defensively against Richarlison, bearing in mind that it was Elliott in front of him and not Salah. Here’s hoping this gives Klopp the confidence that Neco can fill in for the Premier League when needed now.

Not a Liverpool fan. But hope they go on a F.A. Cup run just so Neco plays. Shrewsbury or Bristol City away next

There's a lot of talent ahead of Neco at Liverpool. I was hugely impressed with him. A run of games on loan in the Championship would probably do him a world of good.
