My trip is starting to take shape. Everything booked last minute! Taking the misses. Flying stansted to Budapest Friday afternoon. Airport hotel. Pick up hired car from airport first thing Saturday morning and drive to Osijek. 3 hour drive. Hotel in Osijek Saturday night then drive back to buda Sunday. Just gotta find 3 nights accom in buda. And I got tickets for both games. Happy days!

looks like trains available from zagreb to osijek....gonna go to the station on fri as i might mess it up online and make sure im on correct train and stop... theres a 652am arrive 1150. £17 loads of space. theres a later train but arrives 1430 too close. I'm in Dubrovnik! Weather is pleasant although it did rain earlier. Beer is about 4 quid a pint although I would expect Dubrovnik to be on the more expensive side so not too bad really. Locals are friendly. All good so far!

I dont know are they expecting some sort of riots or something" - just had this message from the apartment that I booked in Osijek!!!!

Five of us heading out from Bristol to Budapest on Thursday. First two nights in Budapest, then travelling down to Osijek on Saturday morning. One night in Osijek, then back to Budapest Sunday to Wednesday. Hopefully there'll be a good number of us staying in Osijek on Saturday night. Ive been told that we will have around 2.5k to 3k there scoop. |

If anyone is transferring in BASEL for the Wizzair direct flight to Osijek on Thursday... Note that it may well take you a good part of an hour.
You need to go through immigration- seems much faster taking the RIGHT lane "all other Passports". Tate Exit marked " to Switzerland " and then in again, up the stairs. On Monday, the wizzair left from GATE 22 (just to your right, as you go through security)
A cheese begal here was £9 ... and it wasn't even warm!

I sent a text message to the FSF Cymru this morning and to the FAW at lunch time. Haven't received a reply from either. I replied to the owner of the apartment saying that I was coming for the football but "We are Welsh not English. We come in peace!" His reply was could he arrange me a transfer from the airport! I'm not seeing any other comments on social media regarding similar Police visits, so I assume he is an over cautious apartment owner checking that he hasn't rented it to the Soul Crew's top boy! |

Willing to share costs of car journey or if there are any spaces left on coaches could you please let me know, cheers! Flixbus doesn't leave till 11:40 either.
Any tips? Had thought Leigh had coaches going from Buda to Osijek.

Just a quick heads up... found out it's Whitsunday this coming Sunday and apparently it's a big thing in Croatia and Hungary... be sure to check out opening times and travel schedules accordingly
