I've just read into the case with Munir. Morocco called him up for their last squad but FIFA veto'd it on the grounds that Munir had featured for Spain's u21s after turning 21. What sort of batshit crazy rule is that? I actually hadn't heard that latest development. Apparently there is a rule if you represent your country in an official competition (such as the UEFA U21 Euros) and you're older than 21 (he was 22), then you can't switch. To be fair, he should have known this when he accepted and his advisors around him have done him a bit dirty there His whole case screams a bit of "I thought I was good enough for Spain so I had no care for the rules/regulations around eligibility when I was young. But now my career hasn't progressed I want to change to Morocco & I'm frustrated that I didn't give the issue careful thought back then" Whilst the U21 rule does seem a bit silly, I think that if you're 22 & you turn out for the U21s in an official tournament, then go on to play for the seniors, you probably have made up your mind as to what your nation is. Wanting to undo this when you realise you might miss out on international football is probably not the best of reasons to switch nations Interesting, just looked into Jay DaSilva- he played for Lloegr u21s last as a 21 year old, would this not theoretically block a Cymru call-up (not that there’s any wind of one)? I’m sure under the previous ruling he’d still have his one-time switch.

If he did and he was older than 21 then he would become ineligible for us *To answer my own question. He did play at the U21 Euros & he was 21 at the time, therefore I think this means he is ineligible for us as I understand it. I'll post the info in his thread & tag dragon soccer to see if he can confirm

Back at it winning penalties. A scintillating performance by all accounts in a deeper central midfield role. Not sure if there are other links, but get yourselves on instagram and look at Brennan’s story. Lovely work in the build up to a another two goals.
More accessible link of their match highlights (he’s no.20)

He's going to be a star
Just thinking about how so many of our lads had unsuccessful loans which benefitted them in the long run; Wilson, Rodon, James, C.Roberts, Ampadu. Looking at how well Brennan is doing in his first loan spell bodes really well and suggests he may surpass all of these other talented players. Would love to see him start in the March friendly

Goal and assist today in Lincoln's 3-0 win at Northampton. Really tidy finish, chipping the ball over the keeper one on one.
EDIT: Make that 2 goals and an assist today, scoring late on to put Lincoln 4-0 up.

Got a backheel assist for Lincoln's fifth as well.
Games: 19 Goals: 6 Assists: 2 Penalties Won: 5
If Forest have the option to recall in January, he surely will be.

Weirdo.

Chris Hughton on the question of whether he will bring Johnson from his loan spell. 'Recently there has been some clamour for the 19-year-old to have his loan spell cut short and be brought back to the City Ground to potentially have an impact within the first-team. Hughton has admitted he has been thinking about the starlet “He’s another one who is in our thoughts. Any thoughts, any consideration of bringing him back, it would have to be about him being very, very involved and playing games. What he’s getting at the moment is invaluable for him, and invaluable for us as a club. We’ve monitored all of his games and we’ve had very good feedback from Lincoln. He’s still a young player, he’s having a really good loan period, and the balance will always be, he’s there playing games at that level." Assist for the first goal and won ANOTHER penalty, bigger foul magnet than Joniesta.

This is getting silly. I wouldn't want him to develop a reputation for it. I've seen a couple of them where he went down easily, to say the least

I've seen a couple of them where he went down easily, to say the least He got to the ball before the defender and got clattered, it was stone wall and the defender didn't complain at all. He's building a reputation of being too quick for League 1 defenders, certainly.

But that's like two from 10, so might not have been representative
