So my Adidas Gazelles I got specially made for Euro 2016 have finally worn out.
Red, white and green with Cymru on the back.
The souls have now worn through. Not bad I suppose, seven years.

Having seen allezlesrouges post in the Latvia thread which puts into perspective how many of our players aren't regulars, I'm going to ponder out loud for a moment; would it be worth the FAW creating some sort of elite development scheme, whereby the 4 exile clubs are incentivised to develop and play Welsh kids, with further incentives for purchasing out of favour Welsh national team players? Haven't thought over it fully, but the only way our lads improve is through regular matches, and it's difficult for some of them to hold their position. In recent times, Swansea was usually willing to take the chance and have produced Allen, Davies, Roberts, Rodon and Cabango for us, but beyond Cullen and perhaps Cooper there seems little desire to push the others on. Cardiff simply produces by virtue of being the capital, but never really properly develops them into first-team players; Ramsey and Ledley were probably the last, Colwill and Davies seem way off. Matondo, Lockyer and Andrew Hughes had to make it elsewhere due to a lack of opportunities. I'm hoping now we're back in the football league we can start giving more opportunities to Dan Davies and Kai Evans, perhaps getting hold of Woodburn/Vale, but we'll see. Either way, we need to solve the issue of our lads being benchwarmers, and we can't rely on English clubs with different motivations to develop them.

That's down to the players and their level of ambition and desire to play, one issue could be the contracts their on and whether they are happy enough earning big money but with limited game time, Dan James, Keifer Moore and Joe Rodon spring to mind but many others need to find clubs and play regular football, maybe in future with a different setup, it would benefit us by using players playing week in week out being chosen, at least they are match fit and sharp, something many players currently chosen are not .

James pulls his weight in fairness, but Kieffer could do being dropped for Bradshaw & Rodon with Lockyer. I'm excited by the fact that Broadhead, Burns & Lee Evans are set to play regular Championship football again, but depressed that Page has his favourites. Talent, form and fitness squandered.

Brennan has become a monster. Kieffer still dependable and the re-emergence of Tyler Roberts whose playing for Montpelier and Jack Vale in the Premier League.

To go by overall this is how FIFA rates our players in career mode:
GK: Ward (75), Hennessey (73), Davies (70)
CB: Rodon (74), Lockyer (73), Dummett (73), Mepham (71), Cabango/Hughes (70)
FBs: Davies (78), Connor (75), Neco (73), RND (69)
CM: Ramsey (75), Ampadu (73), Levitt (69), Vaulks (69), L.Evans (68)
FW: DJ (78), Brennan (75), Wilson (75), Brooks (74), Kieffer (73), Lawrence (73), Matondo (71), Bradshaw (71)
You'd expect Lockyer, Neco, Ampadu, Brennan and Bradshaw all to raise their OVRs for next year, but most will stay around the same I'd expect

I know this is a football forum but if we get to the Euros lets ask this exceptional music / artistic talent to do our anthem/song for the tournament
His music was not the type that I would naturally gravitate towards but the guy is a genius and he comes from North Wales.
Struck down most his life by Lyme disease that was misdiagnosed for many years and still very ill he has created incredible music - I honestly have never seen anything like him. Obviously extremely intelligent, creative and artistic!
He is totally independent - he sings many different styles perfectly - even within one take/song, raps incredibly, writes the songs, creates and plays the music on no budget, his videos are works of art based on no budget, he is a story teller, incredible lyricist and poet, mega creative and an incredible actor. Can you believe many of his songs and videos are done in one take - he acts it out, plays guitar, walks around and sings live while doing this, with all the complications, and does it incredibly well! His lyrics are typically pretty deep, meaningful and intelligent and have touched upon his own life and health and mental illness struggles but he can be light hearted / tongue in cheek too. The thing is every song, theme is so fresh and different - I usually get disappointed after hearing one or two songs - but every time I see a new song - its just high quality, creative, unique and interesting. Its art as well as entertainment! I can see him producing things for Netflix - he is a genius
The great thing is there is nothing out there that does things in his style and in his own words - he does things in a Bard like style! Can you get more Welsh and true to our country, while being so contemporary? He speaks Welsh - born in Bangor and brought up in Anglesey
These are the only songs I have listened to so far you may want to check out:
Seven sins - introduction is in Welsh
Money game 2 and 3 - I did not dig part 1, but part 2 had a lyricist video - such a tune too with a message breaking down the money/power/corruption game and 3 was like a mini play production and echoes the likes of Citizen Kane in its message!
Murderer - bit more popular but great catchy tune / hook
Suicide - deep, personal song - touches upon his best friend's suicide
Then the two early songs which caught my attention:
Hi Ren - about his mental health struggles. The video/live performance had to be done in 30 minutes.
The tale of Jenny and Screech - 3 different videos - Jenny's tale, Screech's tale and Violet's tale
Looks at how creative this videos are, absorb the lyrics and the stories behind each production
I flag him as I realised the British music industry has just one focus - money. He is independent and so instead of being singled up and highlighted as a sensational, one off talent - especially after hitting #1 in the album chart with no budget, marketing or promotion (other than on the internet / you tube - has well over 1 million subscribers and the American internet and reactors community love his stuff), most would have missed his achievement. He should sweep up at music awards but the industry will just reward their investments and side line him!
Check him out! So proud of Welsh people who do something sensational / do well in life and this guy deserves it - he is having constant medical treatment even now for his health problems! Go support him if you like his stuff / rate his talent
Wales produces so much talent. We just need to believe in ourselves as a people and country - we could thrive on our own - we are a talented, creative people!

I think it was Jenny's tale that I found a really hard listen, the lad is seriously talented.
If we qualify for the Euros I like the idea of a rather mental tune from Das Koolies, a proper dressing room banger!

In the U-17s World Cup, (Englands Group) Iran beat Brazil 3-2 after being 2-0 down. Hell of a result for them, fair play.

Not like England to snooping around other countries for players... The interviewer has tried to defend himself by saying that he just ‘was only wondering if he had been tempted to play for a England’ No, he didn’t ask him that. He asked what the reason was that he was so committed to Ireland, haha.

That is just mocking Ireland, I'd have been tempted to jokingly turn on the interviewer and ask him what his problem is

Arg lose at home to Uruguay 0-2.
Brazil beaten by Colombia, may be another 30years until we see Arg. lift another trophy. Especially with an ageing squad of players.
