Early days but if he keeps this up we could have a midfield baller on our hands

Having read a few comments on the Utd forums and on twitter, he seems to be rated higher than Levitt atm.

A left footer as well which is something we don't have in midfield
We do have a lot of prospects in midfield, we have so many that you'd think at least one of them would break through
Levitt, Savage, Burton, Smith, Taylor, Morrell, Stevens - surely one of these will make it as a Premier League player

Obviously I don't think he'll be a world class player, but by the time he's 28/29 he should be in his prime years for his position. Top end Championship player is something I can see for him & could get lucky and have a few years in the Prem

In the manchester united champions league squad tonight wearing number 72. Very good sign, Ragnick must be impressed with him to put him on the bench on only his second game in charge. Could have a very good career this lad, better than his old man already

I'm not sure I fully get the hype. I watched some of the u19s / u18s Wales games recently and he didn't really stand out - excluding a screamer scored in one of the games. Must be impressing in the utd academy

Heard rumblings that he's a decent player, hopefully gets a chance on the pitch tonight. He's a midfielder right? A position we're in need of if so, so hopefully he does come good under Rangnick
He is named on the bench by the way!

Just being given instructions now and then he'll be coming on for the last 5 mins plus stoppage time Was ready to come on in the 83rd minute, but there seemed to be a delay caused by the player he was going on with. Perhaps an error with the documentation? It meant that Savage had to wait til the 88th min to come on. Once he came on United were just defending the 1-1 scoreline and the majority of players on the pitch were youngsters at that point so no meaningful possession for them, they were just defending and clearing the ball. Savage must have touched the ball about 5 times all in all Still, great to see him involved

I was reading a Man U forum or something last year or before, and they were discussing Levitt and his Welsh games. Remembering a few people saying that Levitt isn't even the most talented Welsh player at the club, and that title went to......guess who. Seems they may have been right after all.

Not that I like knee jerk reactions, but surely playing a match in the Champions League regardless of the context deserves a call up. If only to train with the senior team.

No, I don't think it deserves a callup. Man U played a second string side and the bench was full of the youth prospects in a nothing game. It's great to see him involved, it means he's considered one of their top youth prospects, alongside the 6 or 7 other youngsters that made the squad yesterday. But it's not a reason to bring him into the next squad for the playoff games. He'll likely go back to the u23s now for the rest of the season. He's only 18, so I would wait another couple of years unless he starts getting senior gametime in that period of course. I'd like to see him promoted to our u21s though, I don't get why we don't promote our top youngsters to the u21s quicker. That's what we did with bale, ramsey and all of that generation, and it hardly did them any harm!

To be fair I don't think Neco ever made the U21s, he went straight from U19s to the first team pretty much. Some players need those games at the younger ages rather than being on the bench for the U21s and sometimes that helps their development I also think there is something to be said of trying to use players that will soon be ineligible for the U21s due to age, ahead of younger players whose time will come

In the darks days of lets say the Bobby Gould era then I would say yes. I think we moved on a bit. But then again the Colwill call up to the Euros was a wildcard so who knows.

I believe Belgium have a system in place that if a Belgian player makes an appearance in one a Champions League or Europa League match under a certain age they will be considered for a call up. It was a meaningless match for Man United but how many of out players have made a Champions League appearance? Bale, Ramsey, Davies, Allen, Neco, James, Rodon?, Ward?, Wilson? Ampadu? Not sure about the lads who've been abroad. Emyr Huws possibly too.

To be fair he has the choice of Wales (father) Scotland (mother) or England (birth) so if he is any good I would suggest we strike whilst the Morphy Richards is hot!

To be fair he has the choice of Wales (father) Scotland (mother) or England (birth) so of he is any good I would suggest we strike whilst the Morphy Richards is hot! Savage has been ribbed about the idea of his son representing anyone but Wales in the past and his reply has always been an emphatic “no chance!” and it sounds like he’s been a massive influence on his son’s career so I would be very very surprised if he is in any danger of playing for anyone else. Although if he turns out to fulfill the hype I expect England will give it a go! Also what enthuses me about Savage’s son playing for Wales is that Savage always admits he wished he won more Wales caps And hadn’t retired in haste so I can imagine his son will have it impressed on him that he should play international football as long as he can still run and won’t go the early retirement route.

It will be amazing if he makes it let alone exceeds what his dad achieved
Very few children achieve what their parents did at football. It say a lot for what a great role model Robbie must have been / still is for his son

MOTM in a 5-2 win vs derby last night. Looked really really good one of the best games I’ve seen him play. Was switching the play perfectly almost every pass, always likes to go long. Created so many chances and got a goal towards the end. Looks like we’ve got a really special player on our hands, got to stay humble and I think he’ll have a very good career.

Maybe a League Two loan to see how he does in senior football?

In the Dylan Levitt thread people are asking if the new manager will be good for him. I think it’s worth pointing out if could be good for Charlie!
