Smart career move, just got to nail himself down as a starter and he won't be far off the National team I'm not sure I agree. There are very good coaches down the ladder and being settled at a good club has obvious benefits, but the variety of learning from going out on loan to different sides is surely better than being stuck with a bad situation? How many of our players have benefitted from a smattering of loans? Not many I'd say. Nailing yourself down in a big team at the right level is the way to go imo

When you look at Reading's recent history with points deductions and other sanctions I am surprised anyone would consider signing for them.

Should lead to Tivonge Rushesha signing, as Reading's manager has said he wants to sign him after his release from the Swans. He's a lovely footballer. Two terrific slide-rule passes for two of Josh Thomas' 4 goals against Birmingham U21s at the tail end of last season. Also scored a penalty. youtu.be/TiAQPSPWpq0

Played well according to the fans. Rushesha played 19 minutes, for his competitive debut.

From 'The Tilehurst End' fan website:
"Charlie Savage: 5 His set pieces always found Andy Carroll, which I imagine was the plan. Savage Jr found it harder to impress in open play. Whether that is the system or the nerves is up for debate. Will be a constant this season."

Constant selection I guess. Rated as 5. Deemed as a constant selection. Modern football fan accounts in a nutshell 😂

Ahead of Morrell? Yes please, we'll learn nothing from watching Morrell against them whereas Charlie Savage is probably already just about on par with him and has more of a future.

Yeah agreed, the u21s are in a stong position so I'd like to see that crop seeing it through rather than jump up for a bit part role with the seniors

Shame about the timing as would have been a great opportunity to get him involved. Mullin on the other hand ..... Won't happen. Hasn't passed the Page test of proving himself in League 2 yet.

I certainly have a soft spot for FC Twente - I only hope that they will find a more imaginative song for him than the Mathew Smith one :+)

Ajax would be z great move for him. All those games behind closed doors would be perfect preparation for playing in an empty Cardiff City Stadium as Page guides us into level C of the Nations League 😉
