Great to see him in the squad. First of many call ups, for sure!

Brilliant debut. Played the full 90' and had an assist as well as 4 shots on target. Not bad for a midfielder ;-)

Let’s not forget he refused to play for the Under 19s at a UEFA tournament 2 years ago and flew home early!!

Really impressed by his range of passing. Looking forward to him pushing on from here He's left-footed too. Just need Luke Harris and Lewis Koumas to get up to speed and we will be flying.

It's easy to say 'that was just Gibraltar', but that was a bloody impressive debut. Motm for me.

Lovely to see how proud of his son Robbie was!
Tonight was the perfect game for him' FT: Wales 4-0 Gibraltar
Robbie Savage to BBC Radio Wales: “For me to be here with his grandma and his family is amazing.
“He deserves it. League One is different but tonight was the perfect game for him, utilising his passing and he was magnificent.
“His grandma lives in Wrexham, I was brought up here and it’s the first time she’s really been out of the house because of Covid and a hip operation. His grandad would have loved to be here.
“The spotlight has been on him greater because he is my son and people have wanted him to fail.
“He’s humble and he’s been brought up in an affluent area and had a good education, but he’s humble and he’s dedicated.
“He doesn’t go out and he doesn’t drink, he’s a lovely, humble young man dedicated to the sport.”

Charlie Savage savoured a "dream" Wales debut that led to boss Robert Page changing his mind and keeping him with the senior squad for Sunday's crucial Euro 2024 qualifier against Croatia.

Ben Davies would have been pretty close to Charlie Savage if he had played a full 90'

Only managed to catch the first half but I was impressed with the maturity that he showed. Seemed to utilise a common sense approach in the opening spell by making sure that his passes simply reached their target which allowed him to gain in confidence, not that he lacks any, has Robbie's genes for sure! Assist, shots on goal, asking for the ball from experienced team-mates, an all round, composed, mature, sensible, debut and hopefully a long career in International football.

On the bench last night and came on with six minutes to go. A little bit of a concern, Reading are one point above bottom of the league and Charlie can't get in the starting eleven at the moment.

He still can't get in the Reading team, I really thought this move was going to be good for him.

You never know what’s happening at that level with the coaches & set up. Harry Wilson had a flop loan move to Crewe and Dan James at Shrewsbury. Let’s hope the cream rises to the top.
