LWB is certainly a position we need to address. We've played Neco out of position there, RND has done well in a few games but it seems the management don't feel he is better than Neco. Maybe this guy is a good option - would like to see him play

Lovely stuff. Just looked at his Twitter and he follows the Cymru page. Nice to see his public support of Wales on twitter (and no mention of England anywhere!) Also saw this stat doing the rounds: No idea if it's true or how they define 'key passes' but it sounds impressive. Huddersfield fans seem to be raving about him after his strong start to the season. Could be a good addition to the squad, especially if he can challenge for the LWB spot. |

I believe Sorba plays either side and is right footed. Played on the right yesterday.
Real different option from deep to have a player willing to take players on 1v1 and add a bit of creativity in area/position we don't have too much of.
The second spot for left wing back/left back is an interesting one for the next round of fixtures. RND, Ben Williams, Morgan Fox and Sorba

Just watched an interview of him when he joined huddersfield. Said he prefers to play in the forward positions. No idea how good he is defensively. He also mentioned he thrives more off setting goals up than scoring them. He's the first player in the football league to create 20 chances this season and, from the clips I've seen, he has a great delivery. Could be ideal for Moore!

Yeah seems to have been playing wing-back this season, and doing really well at Championship level. He's certainly getting forward well, not sure if he's a real defensive force, but as long as he's quick enough to get back in position that's half the job

That's fine, but if you are going to be hyper critical and have a pop at selection decisions etc., at least have the good grace of spending 2mins looking into it first. The guy is far more productive than many players in our squad. Why can’t we add him to the squads for the home games and just get him involved ASAP ? George Thomas will never be much use - he is another Simon Church. We need to move on from mediocrity quickly when we see a player producing with seemingly much greater potential. Sorba is not only productive, he fights and is a big guy at 6ft 1inch. We lack physicality. Makes no sense to delay.
Do we have any indication he wants to play for us? Does anyone have official confirmation as to why he was not picked for the squad? I heard the 3 week visa thing but that is the same for everyone?

I think George Thomas and Jonny are going as wing backs tbh. Need cover for the friendlies I imagine. He follows the Cymru account on Twitter and seems to have genuine affection for us so I’m sure he does want to pay for us. Yeah wonder if there was scope for him to play vs Finland then link back up for Estonia. I imagine the visas were just for Russia? Guess he may need to evidence his eligibility to Fifa maybe? |

It's all about timeline on this
According to Rob Page this last week
FAW only made aware of his Welsh links a few weeks ago. (say around the 8-12th August)
Therefore it would take time for the paperwork to go thru regarding his eligibility (FIFA) (for example this would have probably come thru when the BBC broke the news – 18 Aug)
The process of the Visa / finger printing for Kazan would have started for the squad in the first of week August (so the 32 players would have been selected then)
My guess it would it be too late to start the process of Visa's for Kazan...
Hope this makes sense
Just unfortunate this time with a new player – with the Covid regulations etc
But i cannot see nothing stopping a call up maybe for Estonia only (on his current form)
