Hasn't been mentioned here in a while but he's playing regularly for Huddersfield this season, 1 goal and 3 assists in 9 games suggests he's not doing too bad. Would personally prefer Burns who is also doing well and at the top end of the league, but just worth pointing out that despite him falling out of favour Sorba seems to be having a decent season

Anyone know why Sorba has fallen out of favour and hasn’t been in the last few Wales squads?

Anyone know why Sorba has fallen out of favour and hasn’t been in the last few Wales squads? It seems to go unmentioned in the press too, which suggests that they know something. It does seem odd as he was an enthusiastic member of the squad when he first came into it. Yes, Burns probably edges it at the mo and i know that we can’t pick every championship player, but he is playing well at a high level so you’d have thought he’d be involved.

Anyone know why Sorba has fallen out of favour and hasn’t been in the last few Wales squads? I think he's been struggling until very recently. He went out on loan to Blackburn the second half of last season and didn't make much impact. Apparently he has been enjoying it under Darren Moore though, so hopefully he'll pick back up. Didn't stand out last night, but Huddersfield were very poor.

It might also be the fact that he's not been good every time he's played for us.

Hasn't been that good for us and is more of a winger than a wing-back. I think when he burst on the scene as a wing-back in the Championship it was exciting for us as we thought he could be back up to Connor Roberts, and I think he had played LWB too so we viewed him as a potentially versatile option who was bang in form
His form as definitely cooled off, and he no longer plays as a wing-back. I wouldn't have him ahead of any of our current squad in that position, meanwhile players like Burns are doing really well in the same league. I'm sure in an injury crisis we'd be happy to turn to him, but I can't see him being a regular in the squad the moving forwards, as good of a bloke as he seems

Sorba strikes me as not the brightest spark, Huddersfield get smashed at home and he posts little clips of him in the game. Don't post anything, you lost, you're struggling, don't make it look like you're all about yourself. He's done this on a number of occasions from what I've seen. I just don't think he often thinks about what he's doing, after the USA game he posted a picture of himself with the caption "just a boy from East London with a dream", Sorba, what the f**k are you thinking, within an hour or so he changed it but it's just stuff like this that makes me question where his head is at times. All this said, his enthusiasm for everything when he first burst onto the scene was infectious and I really bought into it it, he was riding that wave so well but it feels like he's fell off the board now, barring a brief resurgence at Blackburn last season. Ultimately he's not really done anything in a Wales shirt whenever he's been called upon and I don't really give him a seconds thought these days when the squad is announced.

Yeah even the ones who, when squads are announced , normally look through the squad for the players who were left out to complain about their omission seem to not bother with Sorba missing out.

Let's remember him charming us with correcting FIFA card and massive grin in his first camp.
There are certain positions we have greater depth in and attacking right-sided player is one. Sorba's got competition in his best position and in games for us he's been shifted into RWB but that exposes his weaker defensive play...
Greater depth for us still isn't that much mind. Need Sorba to be working hard and stepping up.

Still only 24 and he's had a meteoric rise, there's certainly a player in there

He'd be in more squads if he was left footed. We're crying out for LWB reserves.

I saw some of him at Blackburn last season and his workrate was brilliant. I too think there's still time for him to really get it together and push on, I just don't know if he has the right mentality based on what I've seen over the last 18 months but I'd love nothing more than him to remove any of my doubts in emphatic fashion.

His shot has led to a consolation goal for Huddersfield. They're getting smashed in a local derby, check his social media over the next 24 hours, he'll probably post a clip of this like it matters.

Seems to have regained some kind of consistent form recently and scored and assisted today. I've always held out hope for Sorba despite how frustrating the ride has been over the last 12 months or so, hopefully Huddersfield turn it around and he can be a big part of it.

I'd forgotten about him, thanks for the reminder. He looked good when he first came on the scene and then dropped out of sight.

As impressive as his form is, who would he replace? Depends if Page still sees him as a wing back or not.

He's playing wide attacking midfield for Huddersfield and tonight he's on the left of an attacking midfield three. He's behind Dan James, Harry Wilson and David Brooks for those positions, I'd argue that he's behind Wes Burns, Nathan Broadhead and even Neco Williams when it comes to options there. He was selected as a wing back option, never really took his chance and then had a dip in form and fall out at his club. In that time others emerged, he's probably fourth choice right back and fifth choice at left back for us. I hope his good form continues and he can give Page a welcome headache but right now I don't really see him getting picked.

The boy certainly knows how to cross a ball. Another assist from superb free kick. Is it time to forgive his trespass in Qatar and let him back into the fold?

Was trying to find a full video of the USA game on the internet, but can't. From where I sat, it looked like Sorba had a golden oppertunity to win the game in injury time and he scuffed it. I might be wrong. Would certainly be more than happy to be proven wrong! Only saw it once.

I remember reading somewhere last week (probably via dragonsoccer ) that Sorba had the most amount of crosses AND the most amount of key passes in the EFL ;-)

I know what you're referring to. We'd had USA on the ropes all half, equalised and then it looked like only one team were going to win it. Bale was about to pull the trigger from the halfway line with the goal at his mercy and was chopped down. Having not long come on, Sorba has the opportunity to place the ball perfectly in the box from the resultant free kick, Kieffer is on and had been causing them all sorts of problems. Stick it on the big man's head me and my mate were shouting at me TV, he floats into no mans land "waiting for the moment, now the moment's gone". Happy with the point but a little gutted we didn't get all three, I eventually go home, stick on Instagram and see that Sorba has posted a picture of himself coming on with the caption "just a boy from East London with a dream". Cue a comments section asking what the f**k he's thinking posting that and he then changes it to boy from Wales or something. A bit of a dodgy few hours for Sorba but not the end of the World. After the World Cup he fell out with people at Huddersfield, went to Blackburn on loan where he found a bit of form and it's been pretty good ever since. I'd welcome him back into the equation now, I think he's earning the opportunity to have another chance with Wales with his consistency.
