Had a few unsuccessful loans and has dropped down the leagues since, currently in League 2 with Salford. Yeah fair enough, but ultimately Woodburn wasn't good enough. He wasn't mis-handled or anything, just didn't kick on from his early promise.

He wasn't mis-handled or anything, just didn't kick on from his early promise. Yeah, as someone else earlier, the injury didn’t help but he just didn’t fulfil his promise. I think we all looked at him in a more positive light due to his incredible debut.

Lacks pace and physicality. He would need to be exceptional technically to make for those shortcomings.

I presumed he meant woodburn?,he has never really seemed to get the strength needed in the professional game,I haven't seen enough of koumas to know what he has, clearly has something though, these next couple of seasons of crucial for him, good move I think

Local talk re Woodburn, he lives locally, is that he took a liking to drink and nights out and that it all went to his head a bit.

Yes, referring to Woodburn. If lifestyle choices were an issue then that's something he can address. Vigouroux, the goalie who signed for Swansea, freely admits to making poor choices when younger.

Scores against West Brom, even though he's hardly touched the ball. He seems to be playing as the main striker. It was a through ball that he easily slotted past the keeper.
Edit: he just hit the far post with a curler from the left hand side. Only 10 touches so far and he could have scored a hattrick!

Encouraging if he is leading the line. Obviously a natural goal scorer

Just his impact on the game is so, so promising
A natural footballer by the looks of it, who has great technique, is an accurate shooter / decent goalscorer by the looks of it, who has good football intelligence and can dribble like his dad but who makes runs and a good work ethic from what I have seen.
Could be the solution for our weakness up front
Nice to see Rabbi doing so well too!

Could be the solution for our weakness up front It was a very efficient performance. 28 touches and he could have scored 4 goals in a team who were up against it for most of the of the game. He's still only 18, so plenty of room for improvement too.

He hit the post twice. Could easily have had a hattrick.

He hit the post twice. Could easily have had a hattrick. The pleasing thing was how easily he beat the keeper from tight angles.

Interesting article around his dad from 23 years ago! www.southwalesargus.co.uk/news/4620824.koumas-always-wanted-wales/I did not realise that both his parents were English Quotes: WELSH International newcomer Jason Koumas has stated, "I only ever wanted to play for Wales." The Wrexham-born midfielder, who speaks with a broad scouse accent could have played for either Wales or England. Both his parents are English. But unlike Bayern Munich youngster Owen Hargreaves, Koumas has pledged his future to Mark Hughes' side insisting he made the right choice. "I decided a few months ago to go with Wales," said Koumas. "It was always my first choice to be honest with you, I'm glad to be Welsh and I believe I've made the right choice." "John Aldridge pushed me to join Wales, so did Kevin Sheady," revealed Koumas. "I had a good talk with them, and obviously Mark Hughes. Everyone I spoke to told me to come here and give it a good go and I'm happy to be here." I assume that is Sheedy? Good on him!

Yeah I remember this in Wrexham. We played quite well and I remember being surprised how uninterested John Arne Riise was once they went behind. Also remember thinking how ordinary John Carew looked despite him playing in the Premier League at the time

I do believe that Brennan could have been that player - when Forest got promoted - he always made great decision and was always prepared to have a go, was very accurate and was the main attacking threat. Since he has been in the Premiership he has, especially at Spurs, been a support act and a pretty minor one at that. To me it has stunted his development - no one can tell us he is a better player now, as he is certainly not a more effective player and it makes him stop making those runs and shots we'd like to see more of Koumas' big point of difference is the accuracy of his shots and single bloody mindedness to take on attempts at goals. Lets hope he keeps on his upwards trajectory!

Agree with this 100% Brennan has stalled [is it due to tactics or ability/confidence I am unsure we will find out] but he will have to put a shift in now as I dont think Bellamy will tolerate anything else I am hoping we see Brennan show that potential in a red shirt and along with Koumas that would really change the dynamic up front

On being committed - I understand a player under 21 has to play 4 competitive matches? I assume that Nations League matches count towards that?
Think he definitely has the potential to play at a top 6 and perhaps a top 4 club. He is so accurate and has total clarity in terms of what he wants to do when he has the ball at his feet

I imagine he will get those caps this coming window
