Sideways, backwards, sideways, backwards. Im pretty sure we played more positively under Toshack. We look so low in confidence.
Reality is, we havent been competitive AT ALL. Scotland would have had a proper go here.

This has been much better than I expected tbh. Okay we rode our luck at times but we could easily have nicked a point here. Big test is Tuesday where we'll be clear favourites and need to win.

The Croatian players couldn’t believe it! Neither do I! Played a bit better 2nd half but a lot to improve on. Would have paid for a point before ko so a great if undeserved point

I was so worried that we were about to see repeat of Netherlands h/a in Nations League after scoring so late!!
First half was largely bad - Ward made good save, James did well defensively, Ramsey made most of crumbs but otherwise playing like individuals low on confidence and strangers to each other - but second half was much better.
Really impressed with Ampadu interview at the end with Sioned Dafydd too.

Obviously huge gulf in class but plenty of energy from us, kept our shape largely and made 2 or 3 good chances. Davies, Johnson and hopefully Brooks will add a huge amount of class but there was an element of 'Good Northern Ireland' on view too. Committed, decent lower league players who can prove a handful at international level.Useful plan B to say the least.
Very un Page like substitutions tonight. Hope that continues.
Plus I think Mullin would clean up at this level.

Page got out of jail there. Page made brave changes at the right time. A draw in Croatia is a massive boost. To put it into context, they have only ever lost 3 qualifiers at home - and not one in the Euros, ever. I wish the Page-haters would just stfu and accept that he's doing a decent job with a average group of players. |

Didn't really catch the game was watching it in the pub with too many things going on at once.
Does feel I see this performance before. We start the game poorly, then grow into and knick something in the end.
Thought the changes were positive. Looked more fluid, covered more distance attacking and defensively.
James and Wilson were okay would be better if they could go into these games match sharp.

It’s the first thing I thought of whilst watching the replays of Broadhead’s goal - just bloody concentrate. |

I didn’t see or listen to the game. Family stuff today. What’s the story because Nathan Blake delighted with result but said should have been 3 or 4 to Croatia. That’s no bloody good. But I’m chuffed for staff and fans out in Split. Broadhead take a bow.

Played well 2nd half. Was content with the 1-0 defeat but promising 2nd half display... and then pandemonium haha.
This is a bonus point before our real campaign has started. Massive opportunity now to qualify but we have to back it up with home wins.

We’d played well between 45 mins and the three subs. I thought it went to shit after that but I detected a little complacency in Croatia and it smelt like a game where the Better team needed a second goal |
